Arrow RoundEye - Lost! picture added

As expected, Penny lost round 1!

Chad w/ his wife's first time fired G19.
Jacob w/ his veteran 9mm Springfield XD.

And in a surprising upset, Chad lost round 2

22lr rifle, Irons no scope, full distance Burbank can handle.

......uh , put it up on YouTube . Maybe raise some $$$ for Appleseed.

You'll need a catchy title like "Shootout in Burbank Caught on Video".

Oh, I'm down, I am just not sure I have a .22lr with irons that is up to the task. I'll have to check the armory. Do you have the dimension of the target, or just tell me which one of the targets on the AQT you intend to use.

I think I can manage that. Didn't I already win a weekend of Appleseed from our last challenge? Does that mean I'd have to go twice, or just once at Burro you can pretend that I am our minion?

Well technicaly, I figure you will need 3 Appleseeds to get the patch, but, no it doesn't mean you have to attend 2. Just wear the T-Shirt of Woe and Shame.

Chad
I think you know all this.
2 minute standing is standard for the AQT (Army Qualifying Target which is used by Army and Marines).
The target itself is the first stage of the AQT.

If you are feeling like this is easy then we can always change up and shoot a whole AQT.
There are 4 stages: Since it would be the whole thing we can adjust and go a flat 4 minutes and 40 rounds with (2) 10 round mags (no high caps, it removes part of the challenge and skill). Normally this is shot at 25 meters but we will adjust for limited indoor range.

1st stage is standing (2 min) – 1 target

2nd stage starts standing and moves to sitting/kneeling (55 Sec) – 2 targets and 1 mag change (no high caps – (2) 10 round mags)

3rd stage starts standing and moves to prone (65 Sec) – 3 targets and 1 mag change (no high caps – (2) 10 round mags)

4th stage is all prone (5 min) – 4 targets

Best score wins :-) Your choice Sean, I am happy to oblige.

I also see many think this is easy, :-) I will be more than happy to compete against many LA shooters, using a full AQT with a flat 4 minutes and 40 rounds with (2) 10 round mags (no high caps, it removes part of the challenge and skill) (Current Appleseed Rifleman not included).
If I win, the loser sign ups and pays to attend an Appleseed (Corona or Azusa), for those that win, at the next LA-Burbank shoot I will bring you a dinner from King Taco or host a range shoot at Burro and pay your range fee and provide King Taco.

I am open to any takers, other than current Appleseed Rifleman patch holders. Who is up for it?

Default Oh....Jacob.....I'm coming for you!

This was at 50ft. offhand at LAX tonight with a Marlin Model 60 that is older than I am.

It's not too late, and I'll completely understand if you want to concede...

Excellent a challenge, here is mine. Standing at 25 meters at 1 in squares:

You since your groups are so tight maybe we should change the targets to a real serious challenge:

Jacob if you wanna up the game, you don't make the target smaller you say offhand with no sling, or strong hand only.

You know, I have been reading this with interest and I think to remove any "personal advantage" you guy should use the same neutral rifle. Say either a range .22 if they have one or I have an old Remington 581 single shot I could loan to the cause? Each competitor get 10 sighters to get used to the rifle (trigger & POA) and then its ON! What do you guys think?

Why does everyone think that a 2-3" group at 50 FEET shooter can hang with a 1" at 25 METER shooter?
Appleseed rifleman FTW!!

It's a novel idea, but last time we all shot the same gun, we had know sighters, only got one shot, and I missed the target.

Ohhh Chad, I know you are feeling overwhelmed :-0 I know, i am sorry :-) it is ok
The main goal is to get you to an Appleseed at Burro, every one of my C3 Members should have attended at least 1 Appleseed!
Generally I think every shooter, heck every American should attend at least one Appleseed.
If you want, lets make this a fun competition and I will challenge the entire Burbank shoot for that day. Beat me and you get Calguns Swag (shirt, patches, hat, bag tag), lose and you attend at least Saturday of one Appleseed and if you come to an Appleseed I am working, I will bring you a foot long subway for lunch as long as you tell me you are coming.
To make it interesting we can do stage 2 of the AQT, standing with a mag change, starts standing (55 Sec) – 2 targets and 1 mag change (no high caps – (2) 10 round mags), load 2 and 8.

This one without the scope, I will put on the A2 carry handle.

The Blonde is my Appleseed hitter, she scored a 228 for me

I like Scott's idea. We use the same rifle, 10 sighters, and then COF.

Can I bring my 5.56 AR Pistol to the next one? Bit expensive to shoot these days but still technically small bore, right?

It may be "small bore", but it's still to powerful for this range. If you wanna shoot the big noise makers, you need to bring them to LAX!
