Its butt ugly, but it works. I just want to see how much junk gets caught in that thing the first time you have to climb through some brush. I guess it will come out easily though.

Did they? I actually didn't even notice.

YouI sure it wasn't just because I shot close to you and people were trying to get away from YOUR FN throwing brass?

That brake isn't that bad. Wimps. In Tehachapi Wolf was shooting next to me and we were both throwing rocks at each other.

Good times.

Thats quite the description. Yours and Nayts put the blast deep into the sinuses. You can taste it.

Nothing compared to the AR30 (300 WinMag no less) I helped zero a couple of weeks ago - I felt the concussion and I was the shooter - and from the side I swear it was worse than a Barrett.

going off track for a minute. i'm almost out of 168s so i'm going to start playing around with the 155 scenars. how much powder of rl15 will get me around 2850fps on my rock barrel? i'm thinking 45.0 - 45.5grains?

I still got some 168 Noslers in my stash if you want to keep things the same for the upcoming matches. But I suppose if you 're going to train with what you plan to use.. shoot what you got in bulk!

problem is i'm running real low on 168s. i'm down to my last 250 pack you got me after i finish reloading tonight. i'm going to use these for the next aps match, and might switch over to the scenars by the scprc match comes around. i'll just remember my settings on my scope and readjust it according to my load.

thanks for your offer, but you already gave me enough. no worries.

my 168s were averaging 1 minute - 2 minutes faster than my 700p.

Looks like I dont have the funds to play this year. I'll spectate, and lend Mark a hand.

Speaking of brakes.... Don't line up next to Warner/Werner? last year on the ridge, that thing caught the dirt perfect to blind me. Couldnt see/couldnt aim... and spitting up dirt for half an hour afterwards- It was literally like someone standing in front of me kicking dirt straight in my face. Warner and I thought it may be an issue, so we placed a mat down before hand, but it just wasnt enough.

LC case, Fed210, I think 2.8 OAL.

44 or 44.5gr of RL15

45 or 45.5gr will push it over 2900fps

OK I just ran some tests lask weekend and found this load to be lazer out to 400: FGMM cases, PMC primers, 44.0 grn RE15, 155 Scenar. Savannah has a 1:10 ROck 5R with M852 chamber. Didn't chrono it but from the dope 100 - 400 am estimateing around 2850 - 2900. Will chrono it this weekend. Am now working a Win case load with WLR primers

For this match, I think 168SMK would be the best to use..... <600yds....

By the way Pete Savannah's barrel is one of the fastest I've ever owned and since you have a Rock you may find the same. I don't know if that's inherit to Rocks or not since I've always ran Harts.

i am going to use 168s for the aps match. i just want to tinker around a little with the 155scenars in the next few weeks, and see how it performs.

i'm going keep track of my 100yard zeros and go back and forth.

My 175 load (43.7 Re 15, Win Case WLR) runs 2730 with no pressure signs and is verified with my dope. Like I said its one of the fastest barrels I've ever owned.

PP...I'd try some H4895 as well.

Mike Miller just won the Canadian championships this last weekend in FTR.

He is going 46.5gn of Varget with a 155

In win cases 46.5 of varget is a screamer. Jicko-even at distances under 600 yards, the scenars will offer an advantage over the 168's, especially if its windy.
