Thanks Lex! I had a great time last time.

Even it just half the people that signed up go then it should be a nice turn out. Was trying to get the wife to go but she's doing a mud run/walk with her girlie friends.

LOL... Don't worry. I'm going with my list on post 1. I've done enough of these sign up's to know not to trust everyone to follow a simple set of instructions of copy and paste AND THEN add your name to the next available line.

Hello all, first time regsitering but I have been a lurker here for some time. I have a couple friends who are regulars here and a neighbor of mine will also be going (Airwolf322 is my neighbor). I have myself going plus one other guest. Should I have him added to the list (as #23 after my #22)? Thank you. Looking forward to this.

A little sneak preview of some of the prizes from campingsurvival.com

There's more but I'm holding off on telling what it is. You'll have to be there to find out.

Random idea: Do we want to do a "barter bag" exchange?

$5 limit on item cost, everyone participating drops their barter item into the bag, everyone participating pulls something out. Great way to get ideas on potential barter items beyond lighters, bullets, etc.

Thoughts?

Question about the private range. Shooting targets-does the range office have stand alone targets we can rent (for placing silhouette targets on) or should we bring our own? I have been procrastinating on doing a DIY PVC target stand so maybe this would be a good time to do it. Anyone bring communal steel targets to plink on?

Also, what distance does it go out to? Or does it just depend on which one they assign us?

And so glad I had RSVP'd for this before receiving the invite to my GF's god-daughters 3rd bday party, otherwise I would be spending the day helping out at Chuck E Cheeses coral a bunch of unruly toddlers.

Burro does rent target stands. I haven't rented from them in a while but I think it's around 10 bucks. If the stand is still in good shape, as in no holes you can give it back to them and get a slight refund. Everytime I've rented from them I never got a refund back...then again I'm a lousy shot...

You can bring your own target stands. Best materials would be wood or pvc.

Burro does not allow steel targets nor do they allow steel core ammo. If your ammo sticks to a magnet it is a no go. When you get to the range office to pay your range fee, bring your ammo with you, they will do an ammo check.

East 1 range is about 175 yds.

You'd be doing the same this Saturday but at Burro....

Much debate goes on about the distance of the E1 range. My bet money would go toward 100-130 yrds ; 100 yrds at the distant mound. Here's some sample pics, my buddy there is standing at a 50 yard marker (as long as the guy who marked it isn't f**king with us, lol):

Burro sells PVC stands for $10. It comes with a 19.5" target and cardboard backing ziptied to the frame. Extra target paper sells for $2 (they are XXL size). Burro will refund you $8 if you return it with no frame damage. Mine got shot to hell last weekend at the Super Secret Zombie Shoot:

I bet there are some guys attending your GF's god-daughters 3rd bday party who are trying to go with you to avoid the same fate, LOL

Some bad news happened to me last weekend at SSZS. my EZ up got picked up by a wind gust, flipped, and broke. I will not be able to use it. Could you please take it off my list of things Ray?

Some things have changed with me also and I won't be able to stay all day. Since I wasn't planning to stay all day I wasn't planning on bringing my EZ up. If you want I can bring it and your welcome to use it and return it to me. I'm in Monterey Park and I think you mentioned you are in Burbank so it's not too far away if you wanna do that.

PM me and we can discuss in private.

I just got off the phone with Total Resource International. They sale lots of products to Costco and they will give us few small First Aid kits to Raffle.

Personally, I like this type of weather for Saturday. I am guessing the drizzle will taper off during the day so by the time the toys come out it should be dry.

Per NWS
Quote:
Saturday Patchy drizzle before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 68.

And just an update, I may have several guests. Some CGer's who will bring toys and some non-gun owners who are interested in the survival and becoming first time owners. Once I know for sure how many will be coming I will give a number of heads, but will make sure they come with pot luck items, etc.

Also, I will be bringing my crossbow. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. It was a bday gift from the GF after talking up Daryl from TWD and how BA it would be to have one when SHTF. So if anyone has bow experience I am open to input and tips. If anyone wants to play around with it you are welcome to.
