Had a good time! Hope you guys enjoyed firing the Garand. It was nice to put some faces to names. I'll be sure to make it out to the next one.
Also, Trap55 thanks for letting me shoot the PSL, and letting my son shoot the training ammo in the Mosin.

Ian, thanks for sitting down with my son and letting him shoot all those .22s. That was really cool of you. He had a good time.

No problem! I remember being that age, it's fun to teach others: after all, knowledge not shared isn't knowledge at all.

You gotta come to the next one for sure! It will be awesome

I got some uploading now. I will post them either tonight or tomorrow.
Great to see everyone again, and to meet new folks. Thanks for letting me shoot your awesome firearms, Smokey308, paulie, TRAP, Cameron and everyone else.

Your friend & sister were cute, Ian. It is awesome to see some ladies out there on the range, not many where I live.

Lone_Gunman, thanks for letting me use that tool, it worked great. I need to pick one up myself. And the magazine.

You're welcome, that's what the training ammo is for. I think everyone shot my PSL except me!
Dutch and Pete, you guys lit out of there early. What happened, new "most wanted" posters come out?

Too old (me anyway), had to go have some Maalox.

I got a few pix, seems like all the action was down at the end. I saw them shooting a mannequin head!!! Bizarre, I had to turn away and not look.

Something like that.

Didn't bring my shade because it is set up at home, was going to pick up another one but forgot, couldn't find the new targets, needed to fix a fence, pick up my daughter from work, etc.

Just your typical comedy of errors. Met some more people and had a good time, though. Will do it again for sure and be better prepared.

This is gonna get real pic heavy, I will make an album.
Oh, if anyone wants a higher quality image of one of the photos, I can email it to you. Photobucket is horrible.

Travis,
You can go into the settings in phototbucket and change your upload settings to a higher resolution, and larger image size.
You can even choose original image size for one of the options.

I'm sorry I missed on this one, the worst was that I was at shooting range (pun intended) from the shooting range, and I could hear all the shots being fired. AAARGGGGHHHH!

Posted also in the Oroville thread on the range forum.

Fire today, 4 acres, out by the clay pits. Don't know how close to the range proper it got, or if it did. Cause is under investigation. Looks like it's out by the back berms.

That same area burned last year while I was there one day. Some guys at the far end where you shoot skeet mostly where shooting long range close to the side. They had there targets set up way down there. We where watching close and the dust clouds where on the hill side of the pit. Next thing we know it is on fire. I called it in to 911. They arrived about 10 minute later the fire trucks that is but the Sheriff was there in about 5 minutes and ran everyone off. it burned the entire left side just like that. I suspect it was metal core bullets but lead can set fires to. A good lesson for us all to not shoot anywhere but the range right now. This is why we do not shoot anything but air rifles at my house right now in the 250 acres. To much dry grass and it is like gasoline right now. Be careful out there and do not sweat it at the range. They do not ask questions they just get everyone out of there and close the gate for the day. Not to big of deal really.

Like when the cleanup crew shows up.

When we were there on Saturday, I noticed there was a small dumpster next to the bathroom. I haven't noticed one there before. Trying to encourage people to pick up after themselves?

It was there at the last June shoot. I cleaned up everything but my .22 brass and steel surplus.

Thanks for bringing the BBQ, Paulie.

Yes, according to the calendar. I wish they would schedule them at the beginning of the month instead of the end.
