Fire!!

I thought all is well, but it's not. Fire is headed toward my development, Tesero del valle. Everyone is evacuating. Waiting for my wife to come home, and take valables out. I got my pictures, firearms, and ammo out. Wouldn't want to kill someone by accident with all my ammo at my house. Need to take photos of the whole house, and go to my mom's house in the valley.

if you can, try video taping the in and out of your house. Sometimes a video camera can catch things you dont think of.

freaken battery died on my new camcorder, so i have my wife coming here with my old one. called my insurance agent, i am covered.

Hope everything works out for you and your family. It's great that you have plenty of support from your family which are fairly local to you.. but let me know if you need anything.

Man, my parents-in-law are on the move again. fire is in Rancho Bernardo where they were at.15 is closed so they can't get up here. Any word on APS?

i think the fire is about 8 miles north of me, when is strong at 25-30mph going south right toward my house.

air is all smokey, and i can totally smell it. if you stay outside too long, your lungs start to hurt.

That is why I was so pissed at my PILs. They were told by two fire fighters that lived next door to them there was a good chance they would have to leave and they would not be able to fight the fire till wed because of winds. They waited till the last minute and my stupid *** father-in-law went back up and almost got stuck. Took almost 6 hours to get back to his hotel in what is normally a 25 minute drive.

thanks nayt for the prayer. i can say being a christian, personal property including a house is not important.

valencia, tesero del valle. right in between the canyon country fire and castaic fire.

I was just over there working today. Last night we thought we were ****ed too. The fire got with in 1/4 mile of our house at the start, on solidad and sierra hwy. The police and firefighters came up our street and told us that if the fire jumped the road we were screwed and it might be a good idea to think about leaving. We lucked out thow, no jump and it headed away from us. I can tell you what, Its not cool to be on the other side of town today. It was super smokey and im super unmotivated to go back to work in the am.

OMG OMG the fire is getting a little close to us again in canyon county/ sand canyon area. Im a little worried, guns are packed,water and food. Rest can be replaced! ohhh cant forget the girls.
