Default Orders what's been your experience?

Greetings,

Quick background before my actual question.

I ordered a Ruger Takedown "Tactical" (black with flash suppressor) the first week of February. As of today, I still don't have a serial number linked to my order from Turners. As follow-up, I even contacted Ruger via email only to receive a boilerplate reply.

So my question is, what timeframes have you experienced as of late?

Thanks - Josh

It appears I'm the only one waiting! On the other hand they did say I would receive a call on the second Tuesday of the week...

I'm sure you'll be happy when you receive it. Sometimes it takes a bit longer, but it'll be worth the patience.

The tactical model of the 10/22 takedown is harder to come by so I would imagine you would be waiting alot longer than for a normal 10/22 takedown. When I put a deposit down for my 10/22 takedown, Turner's call me in about 3 weeks saying they had a serial number for me.

A Company called, Merlyn Rifleworks out in Riverside, CA. we paid cash for (4) 80% lowers in January which they were buying from Rohg Arms. The initial lead time was suppose to be a couple weeks and as of today they still havent shipped them. Although Rohg Arms has them, Merlyn Rifleworks are unable to buy and obtain them for some reason... We've requested a refund for our money and they refused. Time for small claims court.

did you buy with a credit card? If so, chargeback. If not, stupid thinking.

Given the price difference, and the standard stainless Takedown model being on sale even cheaper, might be better to have the stainless barrel threaded by a decent gunsmith machinist. Unless someone really wants it to be all black, with no shiny bling.

Ordered two M & P 15-22 mags from Midway on 4/16/13, shipped the same day! Ordered 4 Ruger Mark II mags from shopruger on 4/06/13 and its two to three weeks, maybe, before they ship and the mags were in stock. Called today and got the recorded indifferent message.

I'm getting to the point of being tempted. I just really like the sleek understated look of the tactical.

I finally received the call to complete the paperwork for my takedown tactical. The guy that completed my paperwork said it's the first one he's seen. Now they'll be all over the shelfs...Oh well, I'm happy anyway.
