Legal to wear CCW holster without CCW
Is it legal to wear an ankle holster to break it in either empty or with blue gun without CCW. I know it would never be noticed except from a pat down. Also how difficult would it be to obtain a CCW in Fremont. I believe you have to go to police station to apply first then if turned down can apply at Alameda county sheriff.

Some municipalities have crazy ordinances regarding imitation firearms, but other than that, you should be fine. They might think you're a nut or play "where's the gun" for twenty minutes, but I'm not aware of any laws pertaining to concealing empty holsters.

This is what I did when I first started carrying. I just wore it alone, breaking it in and getting used to how an IWB felt. Go for it!

Wearing a piece of leather on your hip is not against the law.
Keeping a blue gun in the holster...not the greatest idea. Not illegal, but not a good idea. Getting a CCW out of Fremont...Ha! Good luck! |

While it isn't illegal to break in holster with no concealed weapon on you, if you are from Alameda County that holster and many more might be really well broken in by the time they start issuing.

I would of never passed my qualification using an ankle set up. My instructor/ qualifier has a tough course to pass in order to get his signature. Assuming this is for your primary defense, why the ankle?
