That is a great looking scope, similar appearance to the fast fire burris.

I run the Burris Fast Fire III on my Salient M2 Shotgun, one mounted offset
on my JP AR and 1 on my JP GMR13 9MM AR. They have held up well for me.
Great dot for good price. Battery is easy to change. I have a Leupold Delta Point, older model on my M&P 9 open gun. Not looking forward to changing battery on that one, have to remove from slide and then sight in again. New ones that is not required.

Hey guys -

This maybe the wrong forum to ask but,

If I was interested in building a PCC rifle, is it the same laws as my AR (i.e. fixed mag, featureless, high cap mags)?

Yes, same laws apply.

The Sig Romeo 5 model that takes AAA batteries in the front and has the 65 MOA circle with dot in the center looks great. I wonder how cheap it can be had.

Buy once, cry once. Get a lower end Aimpoint to avoid disappointment.

Sometimes you can get a bad case of buyer's remorse from spending too much also. I'd probably have one if I bought an $750 rds that did exactly what my SPARC AR's do for me, or put PRO's on every little rifle including the .22's and 9mm's... I do love the PRO's though.

Primary Arms RDS have always been good, but they aren't cheap anymore unless you are talking used or the blems on Ebay.

I was able to get a holosun hs503g blem and honestly cannot tell it is a blem product. So IMO well worth the $161 I spent. Although I did get also combine this with a 15% discount

To the OP's point:

I bought a PCC new in the box from my LGS. While it was in DROS, I bought a SPARC II on sale from Brownells.

I was hoping the optic would arrive before I picked up the carbine so I could head out to the range on the same day. It did.

The day I picked up the rifle I had forgotten all about the optic or the range. I went home and dumped the PCC into my safe, next to the unwrapped SPARC II. Then I went in for a nap.

That was a month ago. I hadn't thought much about the PCC really until I saw this thread. I really need to go shoot it soon.

Yeah. I'm pretty eager to look through one of the SPURS and see what's up with the glass. I'll try one of theirs before the Vortex Viper or Venom, just my preference.

I have bought a couple PA blems on Ebay. None had any noticeable blems, and if they had I wouldn't have cared as long as the electronics worked.

Lol this 9mm takedown is a gun I am excited to get, so will definitely be taking out the same day as pick up. Also glad my Holosun came in early than expected

Right on, Cindy. Nikon also has the SuperDot coming to consumers this summer. I haven't heard a retail price, but it should be a little more then the SPUR I think. Lightweight, compact and built with the features you are looking for in a red dot sight.

I was surprised I like my Sightmark better than the Bushnell. It was the first dot I ever bought. But on a AR pistol range plinker I don't stretch past 50 yards, I like the bigger field of view, and they were about the same price. I'm going to replace it with a Holosun too though.

I actually purchased a bushnell TRS-25 Tuesday in addition to the Holosun. Plan on using the Holosun on my AR and trying the bushnell on the PC first to see how that goes first

I got one of the first ones sold here in Mexifornia back in January, the iron sights on it are pretty decent not sure why you would need optics’s.

Wait until you start needing reading glasses, you'll know why optics are darn near essential.

Bart, what will the SuperDot look like? I was briefly interested in the Spur owing to the larger window, but then I realized that it uses a 1632 battery.

Any details on the SuperDot?

Why does a coin type cell become a deal breaker? Because it isn't the CR2032 you are used to? Or .80 each is too rich for your blood? It is just a coin cell like the rest. Get them on Amazon in 10 packs or more less than a buck each for Energizer. If you want a AAA you are looking at the wrong type of RDS. I love having some AAA sights but honestly because those AAA get sucked up by remotes etc... it is much easier to keep a lifetime supply of coins and dirt cheap too. So cheap you could put a few everywhere.

I have had a TRS-25 for a few years and it has worked great. I recently bought a Romeo 5 and can't tell the difference between the two. I also bought an Aimpoint Pro for my AR which replaced the TRS-25 but I haven't taken it to the range yet so I can't comment on the difference.

NOPE. Not with the Burris standard low pic mount. Vortex Crossfire RD-1 same deal. Close enough for government work maybe but you don't get a good sight pic for range fun.

Clarification...

Since the FF3 has the helpful white alignment line at the shooter end, you can use those to line up the front sight... and at self-defense distances for example... aiming at a BG's teeth you'd hit his forehead, IMHO.

But co-witness no way.

Just picked up a Romeo5 from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore, for $119.99, plus 8 bucks shipping. $128.00 total.

I would have liked to use the iron sights, but at 66, and trifocals, I just can't.

It's small, seems to work well (better than my eyes do), and inexpensive enough, so that if it doesn't last forever, its no big deal.

I look at this rifle, as just a big pistol anyway, would never shoot at anything more than 50 yds, and at 25 yds, I can actually hit something!
