Default Dicks sporting goods in Dublin?

Guess they are opening soon, anyone know if they're going to sell firearms too?

Seems they get a bad rep in socal.

They're opening one here in Daly City too. Would be interesting to see if they do sell firearms. Price comparsion between Dick's and Big 5... well not firearms but ammo prices.

If the panic buying doesn't stop. Just another stop to find empty shelves...

The Dick's in Modesto has ammo and guns. I doubt the Dublin store will carry anything "dangerous."

Default Dicks Pleasant Hill

Dicks is also going in to Pleasant Hill. They are in the process of tearing the Dome Theater down to make way.

I'm hoping for at very least Ammo... Guns would be even better.

The Dublin one is supposed to open sometimes in spring. No opening date yet but they look to be pretty close to completion. I never been to one myself but my buddy from the east coast tells me they're much better than Big5.. for fishing equipment at least.. he doesn't shoot.. loser..

I hear the one in Salinas just opened a couple month ago, they're doing a pretty agressive push into CA.

As a company I'm not a big fan of them because they caved to pressures from the Left and stopped selling "assault weapons" after Sandy Hook.

Funny, they are opening a few miles from Hooters and next to BJ's. I love Dublin. We have Hooters, Dicks and BJ's...

Doesn't seem like the one in Daly City will be opening any time soon. They've been working on the foundation forever and they're still tearing into the old New York & Company

They're opening a Bass Pro in SJ?? Sweet!!

I'm originally from the Midwest, Dick's is a glorified Sport's Authority/Sportmart. They suck. Good for stocking rifle and/or shotgun ammo.

Bass Pro is pretty awesome though. Fun outdoors big box shop with a ton of fishing and firearms. The one back home in the Chicago burbs had a firing range too. Our daughter took her first pic with Santa there, they had a handful of big stuffed reindeer to add to the scenery haha.

I made a delivery to the Dublin store today. They're scheduled to open on the 28th but damn I forgot to ask about ammo and firearms sales

I've never bought anything from them and after their reaction to Sandy Hook, I never will. They lost me as a potential customer before I ever had a chance to walk into one of their locations.

Big 5 had a pretty bad reaction after Sandy Hook too. They hid all their evil black .22LR rifles in the back, don't forget to add them to the boycott.

I'm not hopeful, but will be pleasantly surprised if they do carry guns & ammo. The Sports Authority that just opened in Dublin was neutered... probably due to Alameda County regs.

Can only atest to the one in Maryland which was dissapointing to say the least.
Had some deceind pellet guns if that's your thing and bows, otherwise it was more like a Sports Authority with a large selection of sports clothing and equiptment.
Mike.

Just got back from Dicks. Overall, nice store. Nice to have another FFL in Dublin.
They are now open and they do carry ammo and firearms (pleasantly surprised) - shotguns, long guns... no semis, just bolts and levers.

They said they will do PPTs, but just for stuff they carry, no pistols, no AR-types.
They did not have any 22LR or 9mm, just lots of shells, and a few boxes of premium 223 & 45 and some various centerfire cartridges.

Grand opening details... Frank Gore is doing autographs on Saturday. Remington will be there on Friday. http://dickssportinggoodsonline.com/grandopen/dublin/

$10 off $25 printable coupon (not good until 5/31): http://dickssportinggoodsonline.com/...img/coupon.jpg

Default Dick's in Dublin

Bought 3 boxes (max) of 30-30 today @ $17.99 a box. Expensive, but I couldn't find 30-30 anywhere in the area or online, so I was happy to get it. Their gun dept. looks exactly like the store in SLO, so the other new stores will probably be the same. I also bought an Allen shooting rest bag for $29.00.
I was there at 9:30 a.m. and the gun department was the busiest spot in the store!

Dropped by earlier to check it out:

-Saw a guy holding 3 boxes of Rem .223
-One guy asked for 9mm. Clerk said their out but do sell it.
-They don't sell 12ga slugs. (Ammo I was looking for)
-Great price on a Marlin 795 ($159)
