Starts at 9:00am, but range will open for gear up at 8:30am. The class instruction usually stops at around 4:30pm so the students can pack up and leave the range by 5:00pm
16 is the max, but we can go upto 20 students. Like our last class, we had 21 students and Jason was able to handle safety and give attention to each individual students. Jason also have additional AI to bring out. We understand it is over the holiday weekend, but we took a chance since it is the only range time we can arrange and thanksgiving being on Thursday, the weekend would be a great time for most of us to work off the meal we had on Thursday |

(2.) Up to sixteen students Jason will handle on his own; if we go over that he is bringing a 2nd RB1 instructor to act as an A.I. Like most classes with instructors of this caliber that will require two strings of shooters. 8-1 or 10-1 ratio of student to instructor is very good in this industry. If you find yourself in a class with a ratio better than that you’re either in a private class or more likely that’s all the students the instructor/organization could get to sign-up. (3.) Like Chen stated it’s 0830 to 1630 each day. (4.) Yes, it’s a Holiday weekend. Thursday is actually Thanksgiving, and the class is being held Sat-Sun. What better way to work off that big Turkey dinner than an awesome training class? Please let me know if you need anything else. I am always glad to help. Thanks, Paul

Thanks Paul and Chen for your direct responses. I'm probably going to give it a try and signup next week. I'm impressed with Jason and his fluid shooting and instruction abilities from what I've read, seen and heard.

For Southern California I only see the following pistol classes. Is that correct? When will you have Larry Vickers coming down for a 2-day pistol class?

I'm interested in taking at least one Intermediate/Advanced Pistol class with the three hosts of Tactical Arms & Tactical Impact: Larry Vickers, Kyle Defoor and Jason Falla. The reasoning is not just due to those TV shows but their real world experiences plus years of instructing students. My personal preference leans towards a 2-day Advanced Pistol class in Southern California.

Ken's class is what is posted in the original thread. i was just going off by memory. Correction, Ken's class in Jan will be an advanced pistol class. Tigerswam should be by Kyle defoor and one other ex-Delta operator TS instructor. but don't hold me to it, it is up to TS to make the final decision. but all TS instructors are either Delta or Dev Group.

Any chance Kyle Defoor will be one of the TigerSwan instructors for that Intermediate/Advanced Pistol class next year?
Also, I'd love to see an Advanced Pistol class by Larry Vickers in Southern California. Thus far, the weather for this weekend's Jason Falla class still looks good: mostly sunny, no chance of rain, less windy and the temperature picking up a little. The sun sets at 4:42pm right around quitting time. Last edited by ramzar; 11-25-2010 at 11:09 AM.. |

Yeah, chances are slim Kyle will make this class for TigerSwan. Although he will still be working with TS when his schedule allows I kind of doubt it will work out for this class that way.
You are still going to get 1-2 long time Tier One Special Operations veterans as instructors. You can take that to the bank.
