That's a nice setup you've got there. What exactly are you towing?

That is a well thought out trailer. My guess is you have been doing this for many years. Where is the campsite?

Sean,
That started out as a 4.5'x6' utility trailer I built about 8 years ago and after using it for a couple of years on hunting trips there were a couple of things I wasn't happy with, namely the balance with the way I would load it (see pic below) so I tore it down made it 2' longer and relocated the axle, an added a roof. Each year I use it I keep notes on what works, what doesn't, what I like and what I don't.
Its currently getting a couple minor tweaks and after I'm through I'll probably do a short write up with a bunch of pics on what I've done Since I've received a pile of questions, comments, and requests for more information on it.
Randy, the first camp is west out of Bridgeport just before the 108 turnoff
and the second one is off the June Lake Loop up near Grant lake. PM me if you would like more details.

Richard

After many many years of sleeping on the open ground or in the back of my pick-up with and without a camper shell this is what I now use

I do the same thing, I really dislike being in a torrential down pour, light/medium rain no problem, rain that soaks you to the bone because it is blowing horizontally and splashing off the ground a foot just sucks! I've tented in that crap only to have gear failures and end up cold wet and miserable, just not fun memories. So the trailer is a godsend, weather is too bad, kick it where it's dry. Too cold, no problem set the thermostat at the minimum of 45* and enjoy. Then best part, a nice hot shower every other day.

I like hntnut's trailer for CA hunting.

Here's some of my past camps.

Tule Lake Duck club clubhouse.

Old rat filled A zone cabin (slept in tents outside)

Tule Lake Trailer - When the heater broke it could be unbearably cold

Oregon wall tent living (pretty sweet setups)

The "Bear den" dark during the day b/c it was green canvass

White wall tent in Oregon

Oregon duck hunting (mobile homes ftw)

and when I vacation with my wife. She doesn't like roughing it.
