Question Trap & Skeet "Courses" in NorCal

So I've practiced up and am able to break clays consistently (both trap and skeet).

I've heard friends talk about ranges..that are more like golf courses (carts, driving to the next "tee box" to shoot trap/skeet, etc)

1) What are these types of fields called?
2) Where are they in Nor Cal?

Much appreciated!

First, I suggest you do some research on trap, skeet and sporting clays as to the differences. Generally, you don't need golf carts to shoot trap and skeet since they are shot on a field set up for the sport that uses one or two throwers for the clay targets.

Sporting clays, on the other hand, consists of a variety of stations all set up with different presentations. Often you will shoot 10 birds at 10 different stations. Since the stations are spread out geographically, some will use a golf cart or quad to move themselves and equipment from station to station.
