I put an extended tube on mine, took off the side saddle it came with so it fits in my scabbard, installed a blackhawk tactical pistol grip stock. I will edit with pictures later tonight or something, I am about to go look for ammo.

Here are most of my firearms.

What is that sweet baby, Nico? 18 1/2 inch barrel, 4 shot(standard, correct?) tube, and the very nice looking wood grip/fore end?
Beautiful.
Looks shorter than 18 inch barrel to me for sure, what is it?

Just sold my "Tactical" 870 yesterday.
It was Magpul furniture in FDE and Mesa Tactical

Can wait to trick out the Benelli M2 I replaced it with

Cool Here's my 870 Express Magnum "Defender" model

2013-06-25 20.18.14.jpg

I still want to add a sling and front sling mount, maybe a Mesa Tactical side saddle too.

... and a Mesa Tac stock recoil reducer.

... and a longer barrel with a choke.

...and

...and

Guns - It isn't a hobby, it is an addiction!

You can pretty much leave them alone. I only did a few things with mine.

25 Inch fluted bull barrel (pinned, shimmed, epoxied) polygonal rifling
2lb timney match trigger,
2 shot extention,
extra power spring,
Hiviz follower,
GG&G tri-rail forend,
GG&G extra heavy duty bipod,
custom machined Mesa tactical high tube adapter with custom top rail (mounted to the rreceiver)
6 shot mesa adapter mount sidsaddle
Ergo pro 93 stock with recoil pad
DPMS AR10 pistol grip with palm shelf,
millet LRS scope in millet tactical rings
Ergo ladder rail covers
anti walk pins
Polished chamber

... and a black eye.

Mine has a Blackhawk Sling adapter and a cheapo (I think also a Blackhawk) tactical style over-the-shoulder sling. It serves bedside duty. I might add a light and a saddle for another tube full of shells later on, that is all.

Sounds good! Yeah my bed side 870 is pretty simple.
cheap plastic tri-rail for end,
flashlight mounted in a scope ring,
six shot mesa side saddle,
pinned barrel, 20in cyl
Extra power spring with hi viz aluminum follower,
factory black poly buttstock with recoil pad
three shot factory extention.
**** ton of ammo.

bought used. Ive shot atleast 2k rounds through this gun and it has yet to jam. And its damn accurate with just about any kind of ammo.

Good luck with your 870! Just make sure to do plenty of training if you plan on leaving the sling on your gun for bedside duty.

bought mine used and have done very little

came with the Blackhawk pistol grip stock/forend that absorbs recoil

added a Wilson combat 2shot mag extension and a 15 shot sling, flashlight /laser combo

before 2 shot extension

tried the hogue overmolded pistol grip/forend but it never felt comfortable

Rem police 870. Former anaheim pd shotgun
Came with a polymer forend and a beat to hell speedfeed stock.
Switched out forend to magpul, stock to a knoxx recoil and added a mesa side saddle and wilson scattergun +2.

Uh no. Most of that **** will rattle off under heavy use, or won't be needed in a stress situation.
