I forgot to renew my C&R

I remember looking at the renewal form and putting it aside. Next time I remembered ... TO LATE LOL.

Already requested another app though.

Hey guys, I just thought I would ask if anyone had an extra copy of the green forms that they could send me? PM me if you do, as I really dont want to wait 2 whole months to get the ball rolling if you know what I mean!

I guess ill call and order if no one responds, but you would be helping me immensely!

Thanks!

Really? Which method did you use to order the forms J? One week sounds phenomenal! BTW no one has PMed me with a spare form, so if anyone has one, then by all means, would you so kindly, surely it would be of no matter, etc.

Thanks!

BagelThief- I used the online request at http://www.atf.gov/forms/dcof/
Ouch it takes over 3 weeks? Maybe I just caught a lucky break-
On a side note, I did request 3 copies of the form but they only sent me 1

Default C&R PDF Results!

Well I sent in my C&R app and they ran my card 2 days after sending it out. That is the quickist I have ever heard of. Will keep updated on when I actually get my FFL03.

Ya. I mailed my application a few Saturdays ago and I was charged on Tuesday. Hopefully I get my license soon! I'll be running up my cards in no time! (not really... I'm responsible, really!)

I've had my C&R application for over a year, it went missing for a while. I just recently found it . I'm going to fill it out and mail it to the ATF this week.

I just ordered my C & R Application. Used the ATF on-line request form but it showed a:

F 7CR - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms

and a:

F 5310.16 - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms

Didn't know if those were the same or if not, which I needed, so I order 3 of each. Which one is the correct one?

same thing. They have it listed in the Fx section, and in the 5310.xx section, so that people that know it either numbering system can find it.

I see it listed as:
F 7CR (5310.16) - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms
and
F 5310.16 (F7CR) - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms

note that they just reversed the numbers.

fingerprint cards are not needed for a C&R FFL app.

Default C&R paperwork question

I received my green forms yesterday. There are two complete forms in the envelope. Here is my question:

1. Do I just fill out and separate the copies on one of the forms(and send to ATF and LEO)?

2. Or do I fill out both forms and send duplicate copies to both agencies?

3. Did they just send two complete forms in case I mess one up?

I just want to make sure that I do not mess anything up and have to start again,
Thanks-
Chuck

I ordered one form. Waited. Ordered two. Waited. Called ATF field office (who were super nice and helpful) and they sent me the forms in less than a week.
Now the other ones are here.
And they sent me a total of four extras.
So if anyone needs any PM me.

Mailed my application on 4/12/2010. Received FFL03 today (5/14/2010) in the Mail.
Thanks to HK91666 for sending me over one of his extra forms.

Ok, I have a question for you guys...

I am not a CA resident. I am a college student (so I suppose I could apply for CA residency, but I don't want to do that) with my DL and CCW stuff being tied to my "home address" in CO (where I grew up/parents live). If I apply for an FFL03, can I get stuff shipped to my apartment in CA (I figured this was a no-no on firearms, but what about ammo)? If not, could I walk into a big 5 with FFL03 and CO driver's license and buy a Mosin? This is all very confusing to me. Thanks!

Default sending in forms today

I order my forms online back in March and received them in April. I delayed filling them out because my local shop talked about COE and stuff like that. I should have checked here first. Then I would have known about Turbinator's PDF forms. Oh well. I've got them filled out and will mail them on my way to lunch.

I mailed in my forms on 5-5 or 5-6 and received the license today so it took a little over 20 days...not bad.

I ordered my forms online Tuesday 5/25 and received them today (5/29), extremely fast I would think based on what I've read in this thread. However, I do have a question. Do I have to use the 2 finger print cards sent with the forms, or can I do a Live Scan and use the Live Scan number? If so, how do I do this?

fingerprint cards are not neccessary for the C&R FFL app. They must have sent them to you by mistake.

And you only need to do the Live Scan if you want to get your COE.
