Its checked to see if it was used in a violent crime. Atleast that was what I was told by the Sheriffs Dept when they recovered one of my stolen guns after it had been missing for 8 years. Part of my wait was it was evidence and the other was for it to be cleared to be handed back to me. I told them I did not want it if it was used in a violent crime. I was told if it had been they would not be calling me. It would have been destroyed automatically.

I would keep it and be happy its back.

Keep it, get it checked, No way it is bad juju. Most guns that are stolen never get reunited with it's owners. Six years is along time to be away
from your baby.

I'd frame this gun and hang it up on my wall. Incredibly good JUJU.

Same thing happened to my gf Taurus pt908. The only thing that needed to be replaced was the recoil spring

I was thinking the same thing, replace the barrel. Plus just get the gun tuned back up by an armorer.

Just the simple fact that it's made it's way back to you after all these years, I say keep it!

Lies the Government told! LOL J/K

No telling what the previous "unauthorized owners" did with it, and so if it were up to me, I'd get rid of it, too.
