No, you're wrong. lol

In terms of "producers" leaving and "consumers" entering.. in other words the tax paying earners are leaving and the services using tax takers are replacing them.

So that's what I meant.. I think we're on the same page here

Nobody knows the problems of California better than an ex-Californian... Those in other states would be smart to listen - and not let it happen to them.

I consider myself new at a whopping five years of living here now and I don't fear Californians, I definitely raise the alarm at liberalism though. My fear is that the Liberals who run the schools are going to teach the kids the Next Generation who will vote and run the state to run it in such a way that it will destroy us. Hopefully people will learn their lessons about liberalism and what it does to economies, Nations, and even counties. It is truly a disease that needs to be squashed.

I chalk it up to Sports Teams. BSU brings all the athletes from CA as well as the all knowing liberal Professors. We don't have Pro Teams here so there isn't that draw and we don't have big airports either which seems to attract trash. The liberals that do move here stick close to Boise - Maricopa County will be Blue in the next two or three years and will never be red again.

California. Still net increase in population.

Like yogi Berra used to say, nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded.

Still the best place to live in the USA if you’re in the coastal band. But why would anyone live with the taxes and restrictions to live in the valley??

Net increase. Because for every 2 sick of it all retired folks that move away, there’s a dozen young couples popping out babies.

Because so far we've managed to keep the illegals from voting. Plus the're still outnumbered in PHX. and live in certin areas.

Californians moving to Idaho are required to denounce Californians. Its part of the implicit assimilation process. Im also required to say: "Theres nothing here but potatoes, and we can ship those".

Nah. I had that in my initial response last night, but it was too long winded so I never submitted it.

Honestly, most of the people Ive talked to are either from CA, or have family in CA. I hear of horror stories from early 2000, where service and sales were denied.

I call BS. I’m in Boise looking at house right now and haven’t had any bad experiences. Of course they’re frustrated with an unexpected massive influx, but as long as you’re a Californian refugee and not a “Californian” it seems like everyone is pretty understanding and accepting.

So far the only true hate of Californians I’ve experienced is from.... other Californians.

That's because only an ex-californian (or even existing Californian) knows the true demise of CA... The negativity is a natural reaction to not want that destruction in their state.

Wash the CA stank off you and new neighbors have no ill will.

When people ask where I’m from I tell them, “The rotting cesspool of socialism and illegal immigration that is California”

It isn’t just liberals people should be worried about

Giving work to illegals and liberal voters = recipe for disaster

I would think that people from the Great State of Idaho would welcome like minded people. I bet Dollars to Donuts, no one in ID can state any Fact as to why people from CA. or any other State has created a problem of any kind. Speaking of how the people of Idaho take care of each other... I worked in Sun Valley, lived in Hailey in 2013. I had what was considered a High paying Job at @$20.00 per hour. However I worked for people that were so wealthy they had little or concept of Money. A one bedroom apartment cost @ $1000.00 per month. That was in the "Sun Valley Ghetto of Hailey." Idaho is a nice place. I met a lot of nice people. The only S8T Heads I met were the ones that Hate. Oh yeah, buy the way, there were hell of illegals working there and they lived in complete Squalor.

Its not about politics for the natives.
Why CA? Theres a common theme (Im guilty).
Person hates CA, home prices skyrocket, person sells their 1000sqft home, moves to ID, puts in offer for 5500sqft home @ 20k over asking offer valid until end of day, offer gets accepted, pay off home and still have cash from CA home sale.

When we moved here, there were lots of homes for sale. The ones in good spots wouldnt stay on the market a full day... others would sit for a year. All nice homes, but theres people sitting on piles of CA cash from their home sales ready to sweep up a home in a good location (near the green belt). Thats pretty much just CA folks. We tried to look a few homes and were denied because someone overbid by $50k and stopped taking bids within hours of listing. CA folks with cash fighting over homes that locals dont have a chance on.... So I understand their hate and frustration. The fact theres like no gun laws (18+ can conceal carry without lic), no NFA laws (only fed) is enough for me to say "I really dont care what y'all think of me, I love this place. Ill add to the economy by buying lots of guns and keep voting red. Peace".

That jacks up prices. Good in CA because of prop13, bad in Idaho because everyone pays more. They know Idaho looks very attractive to gun loving Californians. Population of ~1.8M in the entire state, CA had ~4.5M Trump voters. Theres a potential to drastically increase population in a very short period.

I'm just not ready to pull the trigger yet.

The MAJORITY of people moving in Idaho....are from Idaho.
People are selling homes they bought years ago, and are moving up.

Washington...Oregon and California are a small percentage of the folks moving to the state.

And Boise/Ada county is close to becoming democrat.
Many are worried that enough democrats may move to the treasure valley area and control the state....like Portland, Seattle, etc.

And after talking to many folks there, you soon realize that most that live there, have moved there over the past decade.
Very few where born there....so it's really a non-issue.

The only real problem for Idaho....
The price of houses has gone up the past few years....not enough on the market.....but they have been on a building spree in the treasure valley.
This also caused an issue with wages not growing as quickly.
Infrastructure for the influx of people is lagging.
Please don't move to Idaho. You wouldn't like it here, Todd. You should stay in Vista...

My biggest pet peave is with the driving habits. Living in Humboldt, there is virtually ZERO traffic. We generally drove fairly nicely with one another. The So-Cal folks who drive like a bat-out-of-hell wherever they go really get on my nerves. I had a young girl from California cut me off, try to push me off the road and I just decided it was going to be standing my ground or getting in a crash. She honked like a mad woman, flipped me the bird, and drove off at probably 85 down the road afterward. Things like this are becoming more common.

The sad truth is if people were A-holes were they came from, they wont change for the better much when the go somewhere else. Most people leaving CA are doing it for financial reasons I bet. It cant be for the weather. Their gonna bring all their bad sh.t with them.

TRUTH

I think we've all almost been run off the road by Karen in her Prius with California plates sporting coexist and I'm with HER bumperstickers.

I have a friend that works for ISP and they love citing people with California plates but it's not as if they have to go out of their way to target them, they are usually tailgating, speeding or changing lanes without using an indicator. A bonus is marijuana is highly illegal here and they arrest a lot of people for bringing it in.

"Bragging about CA isn't going to score points"

Brag about what?

Only thing good to about this GD place is the weather- and that's only in some parts of California- if California with its %^&*(*&! Bolshevik idiot ruling class had North Dakota weather, even the Illegal Aliens would bail.

Crap man if I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say, "I'm from California so I know what good food is" Or "Back in California we did it like this or we had this and it was so much better" Just the other day I had some guy tell me how much better Idaho was getting because of all the Californians moving here and we would soon see some real change and progress in the State. I don't think we're going to be invited over to their house after the response I gave him.

If it was so much better back there in Cali why did they move their arrogant asses out here with the rest of us. Yes we hear the BS Calif. crap from stupid people and yes I can almost always pick the transplants out in the traffic by how the idiots drive. I doubt most of them will leave their utopia behind and do their best to F%&k this place up to. I want the good ones here not the ones that drag Cali BS with them.

Joe and Elk,

I don't know what to say except- damn sure when I bail from this Communist ruled $%^&*$%!

You will only hear me say

JHC! you won't believe the f@@ked up way they did it back behind the tofu curtain!

It was like #$%^ Superman Bizzaro world.

Illegal Aliens got state DL's!

If a #$%^& crook stole your stuff you were the bad guy!

Big cities look like #$%^%$! bombay.!

Its Aok to do it in the road!

And so on...

You need to have a test and issue a Constitutional thinking means test passport to any Californian's who want to move back to America.

Including me lol.

I'm thinking I could pass.

when i go outside of California if i compare anything it is always to make the other people feel lucky they are not in California. I try to adapt to local custom and ways even though my car says California by it tags. As for food I have found better places to eat outside of California since we are nothing but fast food now. In california Mexican is taco bell, Italian is round table, and seafood is frozen trash fish. If someone cannot adapt to where they want to move and admit they left their old home because too many leftists turned it into a dump site then they need their parole revoked and sent back to the prison they came from. A new life means new ways, new ideas, and fitting in with the new neighbors. That is why people dislike californians because they cannot adapt to a new life. it is a shame.

Today a lady that moved here from California and attends our church posted on FB that she wished Idaho was more like California. She listed 3 laws she wanted to change to make us all "safer"

I've been fighting the urge to blast her
