Respect for the POSP scope! I love that it has Russian writing on it. I got the 6x42.

Very beautiful. Currently having a Bulgarian parts kit that’s gonna be assembled in the next few weeks. Can’t wait to post it here.

My Saiga IZ240 converted to an AK105, sort of. As the gun is meant for shooting, some authenticity was sacrificed. I know the top receiver cover and the triangle stock are not correct, but I keep those parts in the cabinet just in case.

The work was done by Troy Sellars. The barrel is cut down to 12.5" after a tax stamp was received. Russian gas block was fitted. JMac Customs 105 cleaning rod was substituted. KNS Precision adjustable gas piston system was fitted and tuned to run a Dead Air PBS-1 suppressor. Russian handguard retainer was used. For 922r, a US made handguard and pistol grip was used. An ALG Ultimate trigger was polished and installed with a Russian trigger guard and mag release. Russian 5.5mm folding trunnion, triangle stock and stock catch was fitted. Russianpaint black was used to finish.

Today I'll be converting the Dead Air suppressor to accept the 24x 1.5 LH threads on this AK.

That’s slick beanz! I’m on the lookout for an IZ 240 to have converted into a 105 clone, but they’re hard to find anymore.

I have a few SGL rifles I’d like to send over to Troy to install the correct 5.5mm trunion and latch kits. And a few Saigas I’d like converted into an AK-101 and 104 clones (no barrel chop, I’ll use a faux booster cover on both). Got all the correct Russian parts to do it. Just need to set it up.

AK74 platform is one of my most favorite rifle systems. It is everything a rifle should be.

Youíll be very pleased with Troyís work. I am.

Look at how concentric the barrel is:

If youíre not in CA, Iíd really suggest SBRing them like Mikhail intended (LOL, did he actually participate in the AK101-105 development?) It makes the gun very light up front.

I had sent the rifle to Mario Frere at Piece of History Firearms, but after a year sitting at his shop, he sent the gun back as he no longer does this kind of work.

Unfortunately, Iím still stuck on the PRK side of the Sierras, so a full chop and Form 1 is verboten.

Troy did a 105 conversion on a friends SGL 31 that lives in WA, turned out really nice. Makes a huge difference in handling like you mentioned. Let us know how yours shoots with the can.

I bet that thing handles like a dream. I have a old Marcolmar AKS-74 built by Troy Sellers and I must say his work is flawless. Congrats!!

Nice, comifornia! But the donkey-toothed one is missing, LOL

How did you get the clear fin on the Magpul grip on the rifle in the middle?

Lol Donkey tooth was not available for the photo.

The fin is just plexiglass screwed into the side of the grip.

I honestly wish I jumped on the AK-74 train. Especially back when mags and ammo were cheap and plentiful. It almost seems like its "too late" for me now. Plus I'm already heavily invested in other platforms and calibers. I do love seeing your guys' setups though, keep it up!
