Another norcal central valley shoot
Calgunners, it looks like spring is coming, and I want to go shooting on our land again. So there are some constraints. I have limited space, and we have to do some work in order to continue to safely shoot at my spot.
1. We need to get some good back stops, i.e. barrels with sand, a sand box, some sand bags, bails of hay, tires... any other ideas. 2. We need to have a pre-meeting on same day to get to know one another and such, and i would also like to get some references... or have some conversation with yall. 3. I will be hosting such a event, so i feel it is fair that since i go throught the trouble of getting it together, y'all can help me out wether its feed me that day, or get me to and from etc... I will not turn down any gifts of appreciation either. 4. I cannot suit all of you on one trip, but a few here and there is how I see fit. Meaning if you have already had the pleasure let someone who hasnt go first... 5. Lets all have fun and work together to make this sweet! I am going to make it a first come first serve and I am limited to how many persons are allowed to come out. I have room for 4 folks this next trip, and i will do one a month... I am going to make a list of those who have sent me pm for the shoot, creating a attending and a waiting list. We need some bbq's, ice chests, food, targets, target stands, clays and a clay thrower. This is a legal, private property shoot, I will no tolerate any carelessness or disrespect. If I get enough help we can set up a long distance area. Possibly 1000 yards. Otherwise we will do our standard pistol and rifle area out to about 400 yards. Let's see who is interested? Btw I still have someones rope and clay holders from last shoot. interested members:

I'm new to the forums but I would be more than happy to help out with setting up a range; target stand building, bringing clay throwers and anything else you might need. Where about in Tracy is this land?

Hmmm, I'm highly interested with very little time
 . Of those proposed dates April 30th I could do (is the only one I could do). I'll keep an eye on this thread.

How does April 30 sound for all of us?
I basically need target set ups, a BBQ, some beverages. I have a big ice chest. Also some range finders, a range master or 2 ( then we can rotate turns) We can rapid fire, I just ask that we all be respectful of each other and safety is of upmost concern. We can Launch clays as well. I usually set up some steel targets. We can bring any gun we want out, and it's located near Clifton ct road. Trucks are reccomended vehicles due to ground clearance, but we can park cars near road and carpool in.

Sounds good to me. PM me and let me know what you would like me to bring. I've never met any of you guys before and would like to do a meet, greet and shoot sometime in March. PM me if anyone is interested, I have a pretty good spot just south of Lathrop. I'm available most of the week but would prefer a DRY Saturday or Sunday to go out.

Very interested & I'm right here in Tracy too!
I usually have to drive to the San Jose/Santa Clara field sports park for the 200 yard range. Would love to try shooting my AR-10 further than that. I can bring drinks & help with the range setup ! Last edited by dizzy; 03-05-2011 at 7:43 AM..

I live in madera so only 90min drive. I'm pretty sure the drive is better than heading out to panoche hills
