Thanks for taking a guess but if the poster who just bought some could give me the exact answer of what he/she just paid that would be helpful.

It was not a guess. I bought 3 boxes on Saturday morning at the Santa Clarita store. It ends up being $38 after tax

yup, it seems that numerous stores had the federal .223 bulk packs popping up in small quantities (4-8 packs) this past weekend.

Looks like Elsinore got their 4 boxes of 223 tonight. Nicholas Cage got it since it was Gone in 60 Seconds.
All they had is what I have been seeing everywhere:
17
300
22win mag
7
410
30.06
25.06
20ga
12ga few 100 pks left

Riverside: had basically the same Sat.
I think Steel water in Temecula still has cci 22lr 375 packs for 30

Duarte got their 4 boxes of 100RD .223 early today. One guy purchased 3 of them and called his buddy for the 4th. I got in around 8:15, which I guess is way too late.

Default Anaheim Wally's has nothing on the shelf of interest

Just went in the Euclid and Orangethorpe locations and there's no popular pistol calibers on the shelf.
