In reality, if I were to bring out 1/3 of the guns that I have I pretend to have it would be a cleaning nightmare afterwards.

Some of us get lazy too. I have Garands and about 800 rounds of HXP, but I'm not bringing them out to shoot this weekend just because of the fieldstripping / cleaning / oiling / greasing. Keeping it easy with Mosins and SKS.

i like playing with my guns, but to come home from the range with 4 rifles and maybe a pistol to clean becomes a bit much. I am just not able to even wait one day to clean them. i am getting better about lightly cleaning if i was not shooting corrosive ammo. i have a lot of yugo and chinese surplus corrosive ammo for my SKS that i probably will never shoot if i can get tula, wolf for 6 bucks a box. If i shoot my Garand it will be a major clean and lube job after shooting it.
My new plan is to bring 3 but only shoot 2 if they both work properly.

the range will provide a target stand and I think paper targets are a dollar or so.

plenty of people will be bringing steel to shoot at (easy to tell if you hit it ). some people don't care if you shoot at their steel, while others do care, so ask first.

Just a reminder, last time the range got a little angry about new shooters not following the rules. Please tell all your friends about the rules, like staying behind the red line and not handling guns and ammo while shooters are out changing targets.

I am not trying to be a "Buzz Kill" just trying to make sure we will always be welcome back to the range.

We should have a safety meeting before we go in just in case. Or do people show up at different times?

It is a shame that gun owners can be that dumb but I see it everywhere. I've been muzzled and also looked back at my table to see a guy nearby sitting and holding his rifle and making adjustments.

Clearly none of these tools have ever been in the military, because once you commit a safety violation in boot camp you are guaranteed to be humiliated loudly and cause your whole company to get smoked* too.

Maybe we make it mandatory to have every arrival check in with only one 'head' person to have the range rules gone over for guests?

Building up a big iTrader rating is easy too; I just convinced a lot of people through mind control and subliminal messages hidden in PM's that we actually conducted some sort of transaction. All one big shamalam.

But hey, you guys have fun out there. Ring a plate for Old Bob won't you?
That may all be true but at least I'm pretty sure this one acquisition of yours is true:

Thanks Dan, I am amazed you remember that. Of course. That particular pistol is riding in a strong side high rise OWB holster as we speak. I don't leave home without it. I'll be doing some 50 yard reaction drills with it tomorrow out in the desert to stay sharp.

If I can ever find another one I will have a dual shoulder holster made so I can carry them both. People are way too quick to dismiss the .22 short as a defensive caliber. The low recoil makes accurate rapid fire volleys possible even while moving.

The PSL and the SVT-40's that I have are my favorite rifles. There is something about a Semi-auto 7.62x54r that's just awesome

You guys are welcome to try them, I'll bring them on sunday

one of my dream rifles is a winchester 1895 lever action in 7.62-54r. just knowing they made them and they are out their gets me going. it would satisfy my wanting a old lever gun and shooting a very powerful round in it. please somebody buy one and bring it Sunday.

Just a .22 rifle. Issue with bringing 22 is that you spend the next 19 days cleaning them after work lol

I usually am one of the first ones their [ 7:45 ] . After about 50 rounds in each rifle i bring i start thinking of all the work in cleaning them properly. I am guilty of not staying past 11:am.

I'm going on Sunday and bringing my Enfield No4 mk2 and K31. I haven't decided if I'll bring anything else yet.

I'm guilty of leaving by noon but I have usually gone through my ammo by then.
