Any reason why $1000 isn't reasonable? I'm just curious, cause my m1a was $1300, and my ar15 was like... $1500. Looks like the mini-14 is ~$1000.

So, what are we comparing this thing to?

People are too used to the commoditization of ARs. These days an entry level AR goes for about the price of a plastic 9mm pistol.

The biggest problem with the RDB-C is the chance that early adopters will probably wind up being beta testers...

This exactly! Not impressed by my KSG. For a 50/50 chance to get a reliable rifle, I would choose something else for $1000.00

I held one the other day. It has better ergos than any featureless AR or AK but its heavy in the back, making it feel off balance.
Otherwise it felt solid.

I think the SU16 is good enough. It may not be as durable as an AR or AK but it is as reliable.

Went to check it out today.

Its heavier than it looks, if that makes sense, but not too heavy. Nice balance, with a rear bias. Threaded barrel. Decent trigger.

With the bull pup design, they get a 20.5 barrel in there, yet keep OAL at 30.4. Comes with a Magpul 10 rounder. I like that Ill be able to run my AR-pattern hi-caps.

Well see how it shoots in about 10 days, haha!!

I see one of my ACOG TA-33s or TA-44s finding a home on the rail.

I was thinking people were silly to criticize it based on looks.

But then I saw it...The illegitimate child of a mini-14 and a dog's hind leg. Ugh.

Remember a few years ago when KSG's were vaporware and were selling for $1,600? Now you can get them most places for around $700.

Just wait two or three years. Instead of $1,000, RDB's will probably sell for $500.

I remember it well. KSGs, RFBs, PMR-30s. Ive had them all. And Ive had a great few years with each.

I still have the PMR-30. Of course, you cant get those anymore, unless youre exempt.

I wonder if well still be able to buy RDB-Cs in two or three years??

Or maybe the better question: Will anyone care simply on how it looks, haha!!

The KelTec rep said the rbd s
Is msrp at 1200 but should be selling for 800. Means Turner is making the most of the gun, which i have no problem with.

Reviewers do say that the gun is the best even compared with other bullpup guns like tavor and such...i dont mind one, but in 6.5.

did you get one? because I did. actually i gotta say it "feels" good. the trigger pull seems very reasonable. it "fits" well in the arms. rather natural. the one thing that's awkward to me is that he mag release is on the right side. somehow to me it should be on the left. other good, easy to adjust gas. you can really make it shoot super light. it's shockingly short for a 20" barrel granted it isn't free floating but whatever. breaks down really easy and it's REALLY easy to clean. On to the bad:

uh yeah. there's something wrong with the gun. it dry fires ok, but every other/third round i get a FTF which sounds like somehow the firing pin isn't resetting or something. I think the hammer trips, but nothing happens. recock and it works. anyhoo, they are sending me some new firing pins and if that doesn't work kel tec has sent me a label to mail it in.

Yes I got one, but havent had it out to the range yet.

Sorry to hear youre having trouble. Did the FTF happen with different types of ammo??

Yeah, as a .308 semi auto rifle it's not out of line. If I remember correctly it's supposed to be a very accurate rifle as well.

I like Keltec stuff. They are very innovative however they also do have a reputation of making their first buyers the beta testers. And that's not cool. I'll wait for gen 2 or 3 and a 50% price drop

Well... Ugly can be scary. And I think it might employ stealth technology. It also goes well with that new fancy Navy ship...
