A while back I posted a picture of my old AR with a Surefire Muzzle Brake and Warden. I was told that the Surefire Warden wasn't ok for featureless because of the "flash signature."

Now Surefire's webpage for the Warden no longer references anything about "flash" https://www.surefire.com/warden.html

So I was wondering if the Warden is now ok for featureless rifles since Surefire doesn't reference anything about flash (assuming I am using their muzzle brake)?

Sorry Guys, But I'm a little confused! I bought a Saiga 12 shotgun in 2013. It was a "sporting shotgun" and came with a "tool required" mag release. I've converted the shotgun(moved the trigger and guard forward, and added a pistol grip). Can I add a fin at the grip and consider the shotgun featureless and put on the standard AK mag release(like the AK's in the previous pics)? The only reason i'm asking is that, it seems to me that a bought the shotgun featureless: i.e. no evil features (pistol grip, flash hider, telescoping stock). but it came with a "tool required" mag release. Am i missing something? The shotgun does have the required parts made in the U.S.A.

I'm glad you guys are here and asking questions, but this is the "Featureless Rifles Picture Thread". You might get more and better responses to your questions if they weren't posted here. Just trying to be helpful.

Default Strike Industries Simple Grip not fitting on my Stag lower.

Anyone have any advice on this? I thought all of this stuff was standardized/generic, but the slot in the new grip is too narrow to fit on my lower. I'm loathe to use force, but thought I'd ask first.

Exile Machine's hammer heads is very tight. One, I got it started on one end and kept wiggling and pushing on it until it was in place. It wasn't easy. The other one was so tight that I went against EMs advice and used a file to remove a small amount of material from the grip.

These are instructions for Hammerhead installation. Ignore the video and stuff at the top. Go to the bottom and they provide instructions for dealing with tight fit. These also work on the Sparrow grip. http://www.exilemachine.net/HammerheadInstall.html

That thing is gorgeous. If only we had the demand we could build a legit featureless grip that would work on these rifles.

The big downside is it'd have to be the entire trigger pack, and not just the grip.

But if we could and do it for an MP5 i'd buy one.

I heard talk of a local gun shop selling some kind of a two position grip. Anyone know the legality of such a thing on a featureless rifle? Only pic I could find is a Mako....

Looks great on plastic, definitely more difficult on metal. What was the cost vs spray paint? Also I wonder how well it'll hold up over time.

See my "Rit Dye" thread in my signature to follow along. Rit Dye won't work on metal, so rattle can or other applications will need to be applied there.

Rit Dye can be found for $3-5 at Rite Aid or Wally World. Whatever the cost of rubber bands are. I just had a bag lying around. Boil hot water and have at it.

That’s kind of embarrassing that people are not able to change their grip without instructions on how to handle a tight fit...

But a good way no less to sell the mold design issues, grip likely sucked in a bit after molding and this happened. Look how goddamn thick it is, that much plastic doesn’t cool at the same rate thus you have the warping. Thinner molds can be extremely strong if designed properly, look at magpul products for example. Those guys actually do an amazing job with plastic molding, and I don’t know if people fully realize that.

Any word if featureless will hold up? I remember seeing another state law that went after featureless, required you to register regardless.

Maybe semi-auto won't even hold up. Which would affect even fixed mag builds. This doesn't mean you stop buying or sell your semi auto rifles, or remove your gas blocks now.

Everyone in the media already agrees that fully semi-auto should be banned.

In all seriousness, I have spoken with people who are selling their AR's and buying bolt guns just to avoid the "conflict" I guess. I generally try to encourage them by saying the best way to fight and support the 2A is to keep your AR's and shoot them for as long as you can and as much as you can. Then when the laws change, make your mods and keep fighting and keep support pro-2A groups, and vote. These are important ways to try to hold the line. Selling is akin to retreating at this point.
