Default Leprechaun trap in the sandbox

Saw this on Reddit this morning. Every year this woman sets leprechaun traps with her kids, this is her trap this year while deployed in Afghanistan.

(Should this be in off topic?)

It's like the tooth fairy for kids, man. She's having fun with her kids and letting them use their imagination...and putting her own deployed in Afghanistan spin on it this year!

Love it!

But now I think it's our duty as Calgunners to criticize her trap/trigger design.

It was only made worse when my dad would dress up as santa on christmas eve for the kids (we were clueless) at the family dinners and make brief appearances in the backyard. Man me and the boy cousins would go ape**** and try to find him.

Ahhh! What a waste of magically delicious Lucky Charms! Little Green Midget...excuse me...Green Little Person of Irish decent or not...I hope she catches the little b@$t@rd, if only for the sacrifice those poor innocent little marshmallows had to make. Green clovers, yellow moons, pink hearts, purple horseshoes, blue diamonds.......oh the horror!!

limited food resources on small islands sometimes makes mammals evolve into a smaller size.
in Ireland they call them leprechauns in Hawaii they call them menehune.
I'm not saying that they are real, just that there's a very small possibility of truth in those old stories.

When catching leprechauns you can run into one of two kinds. If you're lucky you get Lucky (wacka wacka):

If not, then you get Leprechaun:

Not so surprising that she has the rifle trained on it right?

That's cool and it is funny. When you are on a deployment time goes by pretty slow. Anything funny or amusing is welcome. We found a steep hillside and took turns rolling down it sideways (getting beat to hell by rocks and gravel) just to get a laugh. Turning over a portapotty with someone in it is classic faire as well.
