Default Help navigating deer tags

Hi All,

Brand new here and looking for some help. Forgive me if this seems basic and/or has already been posted here (a lot of info to go through here).

I am a new deer hunter and am looking to put in for my 2019 deer tags but am a bit confused on how to go about it and what strategy to take. With the First deer Tag Drawing Application do I chose three premium zones in the order of importance to me? Example: 1st:X1 2nd:G1 3rd:C. For my second tag do I just chose one restricted or unrestricted zone? When/if I don't draw a premium zone do I have the option to pick up a second restricted or unrestricted tag if I chose? One last one, am I reading it right that to put in for an elk preference point I put in the code 499?

Thank you all!
