Ammo Availability in San Diego
Like to start a thread about current ammo availability in San Diego. Maybe people can post which stores have ammo and some pricing info.
For starters (like everybody else) I'm currently looking for .223 Rem/5.56 NATO |

They restock every Tuesday. If you want anything you have to line up around 9:30 (30 minutes before they open).

Just wanted to give you all the heads up. I left 2 100 round boxes of WWB .45 auto at the eastlake walmart.
Could've taken all 5 (they offered) but I didn't want to leave someone hangin. Its now 11:30 pm. Hope someone here gets them. Have a good night. Jay |

I found 22lr lapua at Bella vista outfitters 8.50 for 50 rounds, they had 223 but it was quite expensive, 20 rounds for 30 bucks, they have tons of lee reloading equipment and some primers and tons of bullets for reloading .223 and .308.

Dang, talk about price gouging! This has to let up eventually but I doubt prices will fall too much.

There is no such thing.
If you hate "price gouging" so much, go to Wal-Mart and stare at empty shelves. If you "need" to buy some ammo, you go somewhere where the price has reached equilibrium with the market.

San Marcos Wal-Mart: Picked clean. A couple boxes of .270 Win, some weird shotgun rounds.
San Marcos Turner's: Picked clean. I think I saw some .270 Win Many cases of shotgun rounds, I think bird/skeet loads Escondido Big 5: I saw several boxes of Fiocchi, I think .40 (it looks like 165 or 185 gr.) for $32-35 a pop.

as of 5:00 they had a few boxes of Tula .223, a bunch of Tula 9mm, .45 and 7.62. WWB 7.62 and a bunch of other random boxes. Were only a few people there. 5.56 sold out right in front of me but if you hurry I bet you can at least get something.

Anyone seen any 9x18 makarov anywhere? Picked up a Bulgaria PM last week with 150 rounds. Already out of ammo...
Does Walmart even stock it? I only ever go to the one in Kearny Mesa, but I hardly need an excuse to skip class and go camp out in front of Walmart at 7am for ammo. |

In north county, I found out that the Oceanside big5 stocks up on ammo on Monday mornings. Every once in a while you can find some decent prices. The walmart in Oceanside supposedly stocks there store on Tuesdays. But they do not follow the 3 boxes per customer rule all that well. So it may be good for you or if you are like me, SOL.

Fine Firearms in La Mesa has ammunition. I dunno what calibers or cost, all I know is that I have been in there the past two Saturdays and there have been lots of ammo sales during the time I was there to see.
