Here are couple of of Colts from my herd

A old Colt 1908 in .380 ACP made in 1922 - she still shoots great

And here's a newer Colt Mustang Plus II

Both still shoot great. I had a custom holster made for my Colt 1908 and actually carried it for a bit as my CCW before moving to CA.

Here is my latest, I just picked it up yesterday. Awesome except the trigger pull is heavy because it's DAO. Still a great carry gun. I looked forever for one of these. They were only made one year and are hard to find even outside CA. for a decent price. I paid through the nose for this one but I think it's worth it. It had all the original papers and looked brand new. Now I just need a .380 Colt to go with it!

Guys thanks for posting all those beauties. I will have to think over selling my Colts.

rue, that pocket nine sure is a nice one. Can you share how much is "paid through the nose" with us??? I paid about $465 OTD for my Mustang so many moons ago.

Okay but don't laugh, 799.99 plus the DROS and tax since it was a consignment gun. I couldn't pass on it since it was complete, had the original owner's invoice from 99 and the small things like the empty chamber indicator that's usually long gone.
I actually just emailed a gun shop that was about 1 hour away from my area and they were selling a consignment on Gunbroker. I emailed the guy and asked if he had any more consignments and he replied asking what I was looking for. I sent a list of stuff I want and out of the ten or so off list guns I'm looking for he had the one I wanted the most besides maybe the Colt Delta in 10MM or the AMT hardballer longslide .45.
He actually had two consecutive numbered pocket nines but someone beat me to the first one or I would have bought both.
I wouldn't sell any small Colt they keep going up in value. I'm always buying though if you change your mind

Rue,
That is not a bad deal considering some folks will pay higher to get one. Can you believe that I turned down an excellent shape box stock Delta Elite by one of my co-workers for $500 that came with 5 mags, box and papers. This was about 5 years ago. I thought I'd be able to buy one in CA when I retire from the service. Oh! Well. I do have an IAI 10mm longslide. Not exactly the same as from the movie, ""The .45 long-slide, with laser sighting", maybe the movie is more famous for. "Phased plasma rifle, in a 40-watt range."

Keep those pretty little Colt pictures coming.

thanks, I just ordered them from VZ last month. Custom made just for my Pocketlite! They grip perfectly in the palm and 3rd/4th digits as I just took my baby Mustang out to the range today with her new tiger stripes on

They look like Winchester Black Talons or maybe SXT's.

Default No you can't have the stocks.

Took this one to illustrate size for menfolk who insist on a .380 for self defense.
With all the tiny nines out there, unless you're extremely recoil sensitive due to injury or sumthin, why bother with a .380?

ETA:

Another shot showing some of the melt-down action, most of which was done before I got the pistol, so no collector anger please.

The vote for most aggravating part went to the slide stop. It had the point knocked off, but I went ahead and took it down some more to where there was only one step left, then sharpened the edge on that. It's not a carry comfort issue at all anymore, but still easy to catch with your thumb. I also knocked the sharp edges off the mag release button.

Second pic has the walnut stocks on; the ones in the first pic are "bloodwood". They're not stained, they're that color all the way through.
