Get a set of plans and double-check the hole locations before you start drilling/cutting. And yes, it is taking me forever to actually get this build underway.

He's right. The holed on the two I have are way off. One of them is just scrap now (7mm safety hole is off by 8mm). The other night be close enough, but I still have to double check the pre wielded rails to see if they're correct.

Incorrect. Lock'n'Load is the retail outlet of Henderson Defense. Henderson Defense deals mainly to Govt, LE and FFL (i.e. not private citizens).

We are waiting to hear back from the MFG on these. All of the new models will be heat-treated from this point forward but he has several letters into BATF right now. He wants to add some more features but wants an approval letter before adding them (and not have BATF coming looking for the customer list). All of the features on the current model have been inspected by BATF and deemed to NOT be firearms.

UPDATE for the folks tagged in this thread

We are waiting to hear back from BATF Technical Branch on some more features that we want added but need we need the letter stating that it in fact still does not meet the definition of a firearm. There were several variants of the letter submitted at one time with various added features so were hoping at least one of the variations gets approved.

If any of the variations are approved by the Technical Branch then that means you folks will have an even more precise basis to start with.

When these were first offered to us, the very first thing I asked was did it have an approval letter from BATF. He had just received and included in the email because he knew I wouldn't carry a product without that letter. That letter protects Henderson Defense from improperly transferring firearms and it protects our clients from receiving an unregistered firearm, surrendering a firearm that YOU manufactured or any of the various negative outcomes that could result without the Technical Branch's approval.

Default BATF letter

That makes sense and thanks for the update.
As a user a while back asked; is there a way to get notified when everything works itself out, or will we have to keep checking this thread and your website?
I'm in for at least 5 whether or not there is a notification but it sure would be nice not to have to check the page all the time to make sure I place an order before you are sold out.
Thanks
