Default Tulare County CCW

I looked but couldn't find a specific answer to this question, so I started this one.

I live in Tulare county and my CCW expires in Jan 2019.
If I take the 4 hour class now and submit the renewal certificate @1 month before mine expires, will it be a valid certificate, or will I have to complete the 8 hour class?

I think your best bet is to contact your issuing agency and ask them.

The Tulare County Sheriff has started the firearm qualification requirement as of September. All classes must now be the class with proficiency demonstration, live fire no matter when your renewal date is.

"Course of live fire guidelines" on the sheriff's website states 8 hour handgun safety training for initial applicants and 4 hour instruction for renewals.

Call the Sheriff's office. My instructor said that they will not accept a certificate without live fire after September 2018. My permit also expires in January 2019 so I took their advice and took a four hour class that included live fire. I did not ask the Sheriff's office but took the instructors word for it.

Default A fore warning filing online

This being the first time I had to file on-line here in Tulare county, I want to present a problem that I felt required me to re-apply for a duplicate CCW plastic card BTW no charge).
It's in the listing of your live fire qualified weapons which you type in on-line.
There are only so many character spaces in the make, model, caliber and serial# spaces so for example "Smith&Wesson" that you type in won't fit on the same line, Colt Commander will not fit on the same line-then what happens the character overage will drop down to a lower line which scrambles all the other line information (providing you are listing more that one weapon)-most won't match up across the make, model, caliber and serial# slots-can you imagine the police officer stopping you for a traffic infraction and trying to process your current carry card: Abbreviate as I think only ten characters per column are allowed.
One more point: ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT YOU TYPE IN TO THE RENEWAL ONLINEAPPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMAICALLY TRANSFERED ONTO YOUR NEW LICENSE SO BE CAREFUL, it's no longer being done in person as you wait by the Sheriff's employees.
