Question Is there interest in restarting an LA shoot?

The LAX monthly shoot seems to have ended...

Is there interest in restarting the shoot?
Are you open to changing ranges?
Is shooting handguns only a deal killer?
Is anyone willing to help me organize a shoot?

Many Ranges are swamped on the weekend... deals on range time are better when held midweek

I should have added- What is the Best day of the week for a shoot? After work M-Thursday? Saturday night?

The main thing that stopped me from attending is the fact that it used to be in the middle of the week.

So apparently the host SHOULD be back in November
If there’s no event posted let’s just do our own
I like rifles at lax

Lax was the best
They charged me only $8 to shoot
Did not care what I brought as long as it’s not steel case

We've had events (WOT) at Oaktree in the past, but they kicked us out after a year and started their own program. We can certainly reach out to them and see if they're willing to do something with us. Have your friend PM, me and we'll see what we can get started.

As for taking of LAX and requirements, you mostly have to be willing and reliable to make it happen every month. We'll help you with the rest.

Title should be more specific, either LA city or at LAX ammo. We have a shoot in Burbank monthly and over the past 2 years attendance has been pretty low. We went from 20-30 attendees regularly, to more like 5. I've been running it for the past 2 years since Dan left, and more than once I sat there by myself for most of the night.

Running a shoot isn't a *ton* of work, but it's a commitment and not everyone wants to do it. If you guys get one started, make sure to get your butts there monthly and support it!

Hi all, there is the SFV shoot in Burbank on the 3rd Friday of every month. $10 to shoot. Pizza included.

I attended the LAX shoot a handful of times and always enjoyed it. Would love to keep it going or see it revived. Hard to commit 100% due to work / life responsibilities but I can help or be a backup if needed.

I am not married to the idea of LAX but being able to shoot rifles, handguns, and shotguns until 10pm is hard to beat. I struggle to think of another range in the South Bay / South LA area with that kind of schedule, let alone firearm flexibility.

Some of us still go to LAX on the second Wednesday of the month, but it would take more people for them to consider it an organized event.

I would be interested in an LAX event if they got started again. I was trying to make them just as they were winding down, but sometimes the posts were day of and was hard to prepare for.
