Default San Jose gun show gone?

Talked to an old-timer who went down to the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds yesterday, on the usual weekend for the TS Gun Show there, but all he found was a toy show. Not the kind of toys that go bang, either.

I helped him check the website with my smartphone, and found the site hadn't been updated since the March event. http://tsgunshows.com/ That show's probably been around since before most of us were born. Is this the end of the road for them?

No offense, but I thought it sucked pretty bad for a long time. Won't be missed.

Yeah it was lame compared to Crossroads, and I wasn't planning to go back. Just asking for the sake of that old-timer, and because of the show's long history.

The show is this weekend (October 4 & 5). No longer T's but Code of the West.

They ran ads last weekend in the Merc.

Thanks for posting that. I was already booked for the weekend, but now we know where to find the schedule: www.codeofthewestgunshows.com

Any care to share a report on whether this one was worth attending?

I'm also curious to find out if they bought the show from the previous organizers (who've left their website dead in the water, still showing the March 2014 event), or if this is an entirely separate thing. From the looks of the Code of the West site, they've been around a very long time too.

I had not been to a show there in ~20 years. That building was maybe 1/2 as full with vendors as I remember back in the day. There was pu-lenty of ammo and mags and whiz-bang flashlights of all sizes. Zero lines at 10am. Also an ample amount of most everything AR-ish, but not a lot of pistols for sale. But I snagged my big safe from Joe (The Safe Company) up in Visalia, so shipping was just a small portion of the usual amount for the 1,000 lb. beast.
