Default WWII Flare gun 37mm "ammo"??

I have a 37mm flare gun US military 1943 International Flare and Signal

Seems modern 37mm does not fit, the barrel is necked down
and the flare can not travel farther.

Anyone know where there are flares I can purchase that will
work or is it simply a display piece now?

Pretty sure, it measures about right for that and I see this model referred to as 37mm all over the interwebz.

I think your best bet would be finding an adapter to be able to shoot 12 gauge Marine flares (which are more common and cheaper today) out of your 37 mm barrel.

I'm almost positive there's someone making adapters like that somewhere on the web.

I think the real question is are you 100% sure that's going to fit you're 37 millimeter barrel.
So get our money back return policy if you're not sure when you buy one.

Yeah, I'm not sure it would fit since the flare won't, but I think it might be modified to fit safely.
