Default New FN-49 book out soon.

The second edition of the book "The FN-49 The Last Elegant Old-World Military Rifle" by Wayne Johnson will be out soon. Only 2,000 are going to be printed and will sell out fast.

Just a heads up. You can see a preview at the link below and also pre-order.

https://www.fnbrowning.com/book-fn49...t-military-rif

The first edition sell now for over $200.

Wayne is the foremost expert on all things FN-49.

If you have one of these amazing rifles or want to learn about them you have to get this book.

Wayne has spent years compiling info for this new edition. I'm proud to say that some of my rifles and accessories are featured in the book.

Anyway just a heads up...

Ordered mine a couple weeks ago. There is $10 off per book if you buy 2. Purchased FN-49 and FN Pistols. New FN-49 book is in color and nearly twice the size

The Colombian section as well as some stuff in the sniper section.. Maybe a few other areas, it's been a few years that Wayne has been compiled info for this new edition.

You definitely have some nice ones. I have a Lux Scope but I still need a sniper to put it on. My Belgian issued FN-49 maybe in the book only because I bought it from Wayne.

Thank You. Venezuelan Low number on left is latest addition. Still need a Lux High number with matching stock to complete the more common ones.

What denotes Lux "high and "low" numbers?

The stock being numbered or not. First 4,000 I believe the stock was not numbered on side. From 5000 til end stocks were numbered matching on right side below Receiver cover. Similar to Belgian issued.

Woo hoo! I just received my book. I've barely had time to thumb though it, but it looks great. Can't wait to read through it - 460 pages cover to cover.

Mine came this afternoon. Can't wait to compare notes on my 2, an 8mm Egyptian and an unissued Vinny. PAX

Got mine yesterday. Also picked up FN Pistols. New book is great. Good quality. Lots of color pics. Was in contact with Wayne today and I think I confirmed one of the Bayonets I have is actually a Colombian but not the ones he describes in the bayonet section FN1949, but instead the FN1924/49 which troops are shown with on page 160.

You're welcome!

I'm waiting for mine..

As a "contributor" to the book I'm receiving one in compensation for pic's and what not. Not sure when it will arrive, but I'm super excited to get it.
