Thank you everyone for showing such great support for this Group Buy.

We are almost done hammering out the last details.

We will get an ETA and finalized pricing for the lower receiver forgings from the forger sometime next week, and if all looks good, we will secure the forgings for this Group Buy.

Once we have these critical pieces of information confirmed, we will be able to plan out the manufacturing piece and provide everyone pricing, and an Estimated time to complete the lowers, and we will be able to kick off the Group Buy.

We are actually working up a mock up lower receiver with the logo, and once we get this done, we will post pictures of that in the original post as an update.

Finally got caught up on PMs. I moved this week so I was out of internet for a few days.

No, sorry.

For the purposes of maintaining production and delivery controls, we are not going to make one off lowers.

You can remove the Type III hard coat chemically and anodize again. I stripped an anodized upper and then color anodized it to match a lower.

All you need to do is soak it in a lye solution, then desmut, and you have unfinished aluminum.

Keep in mind we are going to laser engrave the CGF logo onto the lower post anodizing, so it will stand out vs. black anodizing over the logo.

If he is not careful, he might end up partially washing out the details of the laser engraved CGF logo.

We are laser engraving the final/ modified CGF logo onto a lower receiver this weekend, and we will post pics when this is completed.

Note that the lower receiver is not going to show the serial number, model number or company name on the lower, just the CGF laser engraved logo so you can see what it will look like on the lower receiver.

We will also have a basic engraving drawing posted so you will see where the serial number, model number and company name/city engravings will be located on the lower receiver.

Here are the lower receiver mock up pictures.

This is not an actual production lower, but a sample lower to show you what the laser engraved CGF logo will look like on a finished Group Buy lower receiver.

The serial number, model number, Multi-Cal markings, Addax Tactical, San Fernando CA, and the selector markings will be machine engraved then anodized so these markings will be in the black, while the CGF logo will be laser engraved post anodizing so it will stand out against the black background.

There will be no deviations from this set up.

We plan on kicking off the Group Buy in the next day or two so stay tuned for a new Group Buy Thread.

Wow, the resolution of the final engraving is top notch. That looks really sharp, and the logo is striking on a black background. The proportions are very tasteful. I'm glad you gave the logo a little breathing room. I'm pretty stoked to be able to purchase one (or 2). 10/10 on adapting a great logo for engraving, and keeping it classy. Many thanks for this.

It took a while to work out the logo. A lot of fine tuning & resizing work.

The guys at Sureshot were very helpful in getting the logo and their laser engraver dialed in for this Group Buy.
