Dick's sporting goods - now open in Folsom
I got in first thing this morning, and scored 1000 rds .22 lr for $69. They also had 10/22s for $199. No hand guns at all. Limited supply of accessories, and prices aren't great, but it's nice to have another option. Here's a coupon good until 5/7 (not allowed for ammo or firearms though).

I couldn't even find the ammo counter. Dick's wasn't as big as they made it out to be, and I felt the prices were a bit stiff.

Hmmm...? The ammo was right below the rifles. The 2 usually go together. It's kind of a new marketing strategy.

I tried to buy one of those $199 10/22s during their grand opening but the sales staff kept screwing up the DROS process, to the point that I had to go back twice to correct their errors. First they entered the incorrect serial number. Then the paperwork reflected the address of their Redding store. All the while wasting time and gas. I finally said forget it, give me my money back and I'll shop elsewhere. I got it at Big 5 for the same price when I explained the situation to them. Enjoyed the Big 5 experience so much that I purchased a Mini 14 from them last week...
Never will I set foot in Dicks again... |
