I would like to take this opportunity to thank all you Appleseed Instructors out there for taking the valuable time that you have and dedicating it toward the continuance of rifle marksmanship.
On September 11, 2010, I took my son to your event at a Place to Shoot in Los Angeles County and not only got to watch my Son do well, but the great staff allowed me to shoot next to him using an extra rifle they brought along. As they said "just try the techniques", and having qualified expert in the Navy my whole career, the thought did cross my mind that I was shooting just fine. Boy did I have an eye opening experience!! More importantly, because of your instruction, I was able to see what I was doing wrong and did it pay off. I can say without a doubt, because of that single experience, I took what I learned and competed in the Navy West Coast matches at Camp Pendleton in spring of 2011. That was my first match and first time holding hard at the 600 yard line with iron sights. Thanks to your training, in spring of 2013, I became distinguished in rifle with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze leg medals and made the Navy Team 2 years in a row. I am now retired but very grateful for efforts in helping me reach such a goal and just wanted to pass on a BZ!
