Indeed! Awesome. I only wish I had the time to make it out.

My little bundle of joy (no, not my shotgun) is keeping me busy. Any free time is spent with the baby. Hope to get back out soon, though.

MAYBE in December. We'll see.

It is nice to see the Clinics start to fill up early. It shows there are smart people out there that want to get started right, or their smart enough and humble enough to fix what isn't working.

Let's get some more people signed up for the 11/23/13 Clinic.

Default next sat 11/23

Still lots of spots open, hate to see the class cancelled - it is such a great value to get to have 2 coaches teach skeet.

Rain or shine it's on. Skeet is shot in all weather conditions except when lighting hits, so the clinic is a go. I know there are some folks here that have shot at the clinic in pouring rain. Also give you an opportunity to see how you react to adverse conditions and confirm you shotgun works in the rain (most of them do).

Hi Captain Dick, I sent a PM already - I'll take all 10 slots for Jan 18th if available, I can fill them with friends, family and work colleagues. If not Jan 18, then Jan25 is OK too.

ehog, don't want to step on toes, if Captain Dick already committed to your spots, we'll work something out; I'm flexible.

I am pretty sure Captain Dick fills the slots in the order in which he receives the PM's - he has said (and I agree) that it's the only way he knows to do it fairly.

So whether you want one or ten slots, ya gotta get the PM in ASAP!

It's great to see the interest in these outstanding clinics picking up.

My father in law wants to go to the clinic, but he'll have trouble standing the whole time as he has a bad back. I've never been, for those that have gone, do they have chairs or benches nearby? Or could I bring a fold up chair for him to sit between his turn to shoot? Not sure the rules, etiquette etc...
TIA!

There's a bench that we all use to hang out and put our stuff.

We usually move it under the tree over there.

Also, it is a very friendly and supportive atmosphere, and coach Z and Cpt. Richard are very aware and accommodating to different physical needs. I can imagine a folding chair would not be a problem.

I think a stool would be perfect if that would help. PM Richard(Capt. Dick) and get his input.

There have been clinic members who used folding stools due to health issues.

bring a little folding stool, the clinic students can help move it around if your f-i-l gets too fatigued ...

Thumbs up Great Teachers!

I had my first class yesterday with Don and Richard. I had shot skeet about 6 times before the class, with various "instructions" from well intentioned folks. I'm right handed, but with left eye dominance. I had been shooting with a small piece of tape over my left eye. Richard did a check of me, my gun, and suggested that I try to shoot left handed. I was reluctant, but thankfully I decided to give it a try. It was awkward for sure, and combining the instructions with the challenge of handling the shotgun completely differently than I had in the past was not easy. Richard and Don are amazing coaches, teachers, and cheerleaders. They took time with me and every student to teach us the Ziegler Method, and it works. I could not believe how quickly I was hitting clays, even doubles. Even though the goal of instruction is how to shoot correctly, and not primarily to hit clays, everybody in the class, first time shooters included, were hitting a majority of the clays. Don and Richard are a great team and make the class a lot of fun. You will also learn a lot about gun safety and shooting etiquette. The folks in the class were great and I actually shot more after the class with fellow student "TrapperJohn" (thanks!!) It's a busy and tiring day, but the best thing I have ever done in my shooting career. I will be back. 100% recommended. Thanks Don and Richard!!!
