Was wondering that too. I watched the video and it looked like his hearing protection was hitting or rubbing on the sling mount.

I like the product! I'd probably dremel off the sling mount but would like quick detach hole near the extra mag holder - like my RRA a2 operator stock has.

Oops, I can see from the pic that there's a hole there.

I like the design w/ the spare mag holder. If you're using your AR as a HD gun, you're not going to throw on your Tac Vest before engaging the threat. That's actually my favorite feature. I want 2 of these. IMO, best looking featureless stock/grip combo I've seen!!

I agree with removing the sling slot from the top on the butt stock though! Being of the bearded persuasion I can see this being a cheek weld/hair ripping hazard. Like others have mentioned, dremeling off shouldn't be too hard, though I see it as being redundant with QD swivel & could probably be deleted from the design.

Another interesting solution to featureless. Still like the Hera Arms solution better.

I think the Hera Arms looks cooler too, but I like the (yet to be seen) idea of the quick conversion to a free world stock. I would like to see a video on how simple this is?

I agree, loose the sling loop on top. Even though you can dremel it off, it still doesn't have that "factory smooth" finish.

Agree on this one. Other than that it looks nice. Just joined the mailing list.

What are the advantages to this over a grip wrap and fixed stock?

Will it work OK with a knock off Radlock?

Looks like it's the easiest and simplest solution for guys who aren't able or willing to pin a stock and buy or make a grip fin.

I have the hera stock. I was not impressed with the quality. Its a clamshell design, its not polymer, more like abs plastic. The Thumbhole plate is not easily removeable . 14 stupid torx screws.
I like this option much better, one screw to remove, slides off and walla !!!!
it can go back to what it really wants to be.

I was at Martin B. Rettings in Culver City today trying to source parts for my Star Wars bounty hunter blaster rifle project when i saw an AR with this stock on the display wall. Actually I think it was this exact rifle:

I had read some comments on the forum expressing concern about weight saying the stock "looks heavy." Upon shouldering it, the rifle did not feel rear heavy at all, seemed to exhibit similar balance characteristics as other 16" carbines, and overall weight seemed to be on par with other rifles sporting a carbine stock/pistol grip.

I think choosing the Tango Down pistol grip as the basis for the Option Zero rifle stock grip is a good choice. The more angled back TD grip profile I think aided me with securing the rifle in the "marksman style single sided hold" you would have to use for this stock. Even one-handed, I was able to get a decent grip on the rifle - granted not as good as a traditional pistol grip - but decent enough given the circumstances.

Now, if you like stocks with the SOPMOD style comb (which I do) your cheek weld will feel right at home on this one. It's also completely smooth so no worries there about facial hair getting caught.

Finally, a nice added touch is the spare mag holder toward the rear of the stock. Now that CA is limiting mags to 10 rounds - period, it will be a good thing to have a spare 10 rounder on the rifle itself so you can have 20 rounds readily available.

Overall, I was impressed with this stock - I liked it a lot. Even though I have already converted my 16" carbine with a grip wrap and Magpul fixed stock, I will probably be getting one - definitely getting one if offered in FDE.

Very nice, the install video makes it clear why it's the right choice. Kudos!

All orders were filled throughout the week and customers should be receiving them, we'd love to hear firsthand feedback once stocks are received and installed
