I was just about to post this here. I just got finished filling an 8lb jug with water.

"The company says certain batches of the powder are unstable and can spontaneously combust." That's a little bit scary, not gonna lie.

I might have a possible 8lb jug. problem is that i cant make out the label completely due to scratches from storing the jug on the same side as the sticker. it gets scratched every time i slide it in and out of the cabinet. but what i can make out is 804?51?? and thats really close to 80425139 that is on the list.
i just emailed IMR about it

Yep. Just flooded three 1lb jugs.
They said they will replace with other IMR powder. Think I'll try the 4166 and see how it pushes 80.5 Berger's.

Kind of spooky though, don't think I'll tell the wife.

Best

Full disclosure to the wife about powder is never a good idea.

Actually, that goes for most topics.

and this is why it's so important to store powder in its original container.

New recall notice came from Midway today for Accurate 2495, 4064, 4350

Discussion thread. https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/....php?t=1571707

Affected powders eligible for refund include:

Lots sold prior to October 1, 2016

Accurate 4064 – Lots 2 through 16
Accurate 2495 – Lots 2 through 17
Accurate 4350 – Lots 2 through 22

If your powder is included in the recall, immediately fill the container with water, rendering the product inert and safe for disposal. Notify Western Powders, Inc. at 406-234-0422 or customerservice@westernpowders.com for instructions on photographing the bottle for proof of lot number and refund information. Do not load ammunition with affected powder.

* I have a bottle of 2495 from early 2016, my brother has been using it for 308Win since delivery, and it recently (couple months ago) caused excessive pressure signs and split cases for the same load he’s been using for years in M1A. We assumed it was due to the cases being on fourth loading (goal was 5), could be that or due to powder performance change. Double checked by disassembling much that he loaded in same batch, load was correct.

I found 1 lb bottles of Accurate 4350 that had been recalled. One of the bottles had a very acrid odor.

Western Powders sent me a check for $70 very quickly
