Gotta love seeing so many of those Ruger MKIIIs.
Here is mine with the Hogue G-10 piranha grips.

Default My custom Ruger 22/45 mkII

Bought it in 1999/2000 and directly sent the lower to Chief AJ's White Barn Workshop(*) and had them install their 1911 style slide release and hammer safety, and their custom 1911 grip panel inserts.
Yeah, the new 22/45's come with grip panels, but this was big time 10~12yrs ago.

The upper has a Millet no-snag front sight, Volquartsen trigger and Power Custom titanium firing pin and extractor.

(*) Chief AJ still has a website but there doesn't seam to be much about firearms. I don't know if they still do gunsmithing or if the workshop even still exists.

Default My .22 handguns

http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/...psf7251bf5.jpg

Sold the derringer due to almost never using it. Most likely will do the same with the FIE Buffalo Scout (Yellow Rose, gold plated), Iver Johnson TP22 and Taurus stainless model 94. The Ruger Single Six is being saved and the S&W 622 is just too much fun to shoot! Mine almost never has FTF,FTE issues.

Comp is 7068 Aluminum... strongest aluminum available (90,000psi tensile)... lighter than titanium.

Feather trigger pull, fine no play or slack trigger adjustments, fully polished internals, custom milled frame to integrate aluminum anodized grips. Loaded indicator (non functioning) and no mag fire safety removed for quick magazine release. And many other mods.

Very very fast accurate pistol.

The 4 I currently have. Not counting the several Rugers, Colt woodsman and North American Arms weapons that my 4 adult kids have in their possession.
(Hey Dad...can I borrow the Ruger Target .22.?....sure. That was 5 years ago.. )..haha

But I enjoy the Smith, Ruger. Haven't ran the zip or the P22 yet. They were gifts from my Oklahoma daughter.

Default My first MK III

I've been waiting on these to become available at my favorite gun store in Brookings, SD. Three weeks ago, they got some from Ruger. MK III 22/45 #10150, removed the Mag interlock, LCI and polished the hammer/seer for a very nice 4Lb trigger. I added a TruGlo TruBrite and my Silencerco Sparrow SS
suppressor. Very nice to shoot. The pink sticker ensures my shooting buddy
knows this gun from his. I've put about 500rnds through it with no failures
at all using Blazer and Peters high velocity solid point ammo.

Still breaking it in with CCI Blazers. So far so good, it's been flawless, surprisingly accurate, and fun.
