Walmart on 1800 University was stacked with ammo, most I have ever seen. Essentially everything BUT 22lr. They were deep in 9mm and 40 and many others and ever had some overly priced .223 in an ammo can.

Walmart at Marron road was thinner, but got a TON of Federal 9mm x100 packs while I was there.

7-8am this morning.

anyone else seeing those ammo cans of 5.56? EXPENSIVE!

walmarts strategy as any other major business (redbox, netflix for example).....corner the market with low price and kill the competition and then control prices. Soon walmart ammo will cost more than CTD.

Yeah way overpriced no doubt. But in their defense in the real crunch this year they didn't raise ammo prices 50% & gouge like most LGS & online sellers. Not until last 2 months did they even raise prices & it wad only by a few $.

Not really. On 223/556 maybe. But on 9mm or 22lr they are as good as any online retailer. 9mm from them is as cheap - in federal 100 - as any online deal. ,27-,28

I haven't been to Milpitas in a few months. Was having much better score ratio and less expensive online.

Went by for something else and saw they had a decent amount of ammo Tuesday. The pricing was a bit surprising. AE 55 grain 556 was $60.97/120 rnds and 62 grain was $69.97/ 150 rnds. not a great price for the qty.

After I did my other shopping, I asked the other clerk if they had any 9 (was told no earlier). She said only the can under the counter. What can? 1200 round can. How much? $497.97. Are you sure about the price? Yep. $0.41+/round if you buy 1200.

None of those are good prices. They are having tons of .223/5.56 in bulk - like ammo cans full, literally I have seen the ammo cans at 3 local WM just sitting there - but they come out to be in the .50pr range which is much to high now for that round.

But 9mm by Federal and 9mm by Winchester - both 100 packs - are differently priced. Winchester is now about $1 more (use to be 2-3$ more but they were selling so much more Federal 100, I suspect that is why Federal went up nearly $3 in the last 2 months).

So why anyone, unless it is a substantially better round than the Federal, would pay .41 a 9mm round when you can get Federal OTD for .27-.28 in the same ammo case makes no sense.

Seems maybe their bulk prices blow, but the 100 round packs are pretty good. And the 250 mega packs of like 40cal are also on par with online retailers.

Moreno Valley Wal-mart has 10 or so boxes of AE 5.56 Bulk ball round ammo. 150 for 69.97, 2 ammo cans of 720 count ball round for $460ish, and several other boxes of ammo. Stock is good. 7.62, 30-06, 30mm, 1 ammo can of 9mm 1200 count 430ish, lots of 100 count .40, loads of shotgun shells in 20, and 12g. Havent seen them this stocked up in a long time. I was there at 745pm

Walmart in American Canyon

Lots and lots of .223/5.56, boxes of 50, 120, 720 all brass
Good amount of 9mm in boxes of 1200.
3 boxes of UMC 250 rds

All the .223/5.56 was $0.50/rd or greater so I did not purchase any, put they have a lot there if anyone needs it!

Cerritos Walmart and Buena Park Walmart is FULL of ammo. Everthing you can imagine, they have it. The .223 prices are not good at over .50 cents per round. The 50 Pack Winchester .45acp is not that great at $24.99+tax per 50. The 250 Round .45acp remington mega pack was $109+tax. Decent, but not WOW. Their only decent deals seem to be the 100 round value pack 9mm Federals at $23.99, but they were all sold out on those. They had the 100 round value pack Winchesters for $24.99+tax, came out to .286 per round otd. They had the 250 round remington 9mm mega pack, but the 100 round winchesters were cheaper by 2 pennies per round. LOL. I wonder who does their pricing and if they got their degree from a cereal box.

Walmart in Milpitas had 6 cans (325 rounds) of Federal .22lr when I was there an hour and a half ago, probably will be gone already.
