Default Big 5 Three Day Sale: Aug. 19-21 (cheap guns, knives & Ammo) w/ coupon

The 223 ammo is cheap but its steel case but the 12g slugs are a good price ($14). I also like that Marlin 22 ($169) and the combo Mossberg for $289. I wish I had more $$$$

Here you go

Looks pretty good. Might have to add a shotgun to the arsenal.

Turner's currently has it listed in their Fall 2013 Flyer (page 24) for $149.98, same price they were going for last year.

If the stock pictures on Big 5's website are correct, then neither of the Rugers are a good deal. Big 5 is using internal item numbers to list these items.

The Ruger 10/22 Carbine Semi-Auto, Big 5 #2812857, is listed for $279.99 new, $239 on sale. Turner's has the same rifle on sale for $219.98 (# 10/22 RPF, #10/22 RB).

The Ruger 10/22 Rimfire Carbine, Big 5 #4334561, is listed for $329.99 new, $259.00 on sale. Turner's has the same rifle on sale for $249.98 (#1256).

Don't forget the Steven's that's a good deal for a defense gun. These are all stuff they sell regularly though. Only thing I haven't seen before was the rifle/shotgun combo.

I bought one set about a year ago the light isn't very bright but it works for throwing it in a tackle box or as an extra in a suitcase. the knife isn't a great knife but it's still sharp after almost a year of use. maybe the newer ones are cheaper than the set I got

Factor in the 1 hour buying time and 2 hour pick up at turners and the big 5 one is the better deal.

Off-Topic: I must confess that I have not seen such lengthy times at Turner's since the early days of the panic, nor at the other LGS. But it could just be me having visited at the right times. I have found that if I go right at opening time during the weekdays, I can be in and out very quickly with no lines at all. For me, that is Turner's in Norwalk and Ammo Bros in Cerritos. I am sure the weekends are still very busy times.

I've checked them out a few times, all the ones I've held feel heavy and really rough. I'd go for a maverick instead for a plinker

Is either that 410 Rossi or the combo .243/20 a deal?

Less than $200! How could I not play!

Id say the Rossi. 410 isn't a bad deal. I bought one of those back in 1988 for $69? No waiting period...cash down and took it home i do remeber that part but it was fun to shoot

Looking to pick up one of the mossbergs. Which one would be better for HD, hunting, and possible clay. Don't own a shotty yet hoping to have one in at least ten days.

For those three things, the combo is the way to go. The 18.5" barrel for HD and the longer one for hunting and clay shooting.

The Steven's are ok don't expect a $500 shotgun but they are ok for the intended purpose. As for the ad. I got mine in my email like I do all the ads. You signed up I assume.

Thanks for the input. I did pick up the combo and somehow the ruger 10/22 stainless steel ended up being dros'd as well. Considering there are no turners in NorCal.

I bought this rifle last week at big 5 for $419 on sale. Got this email this am and took my receipt in and got the additional money back on the current sale price
This is the lightweight version (polymer) but the reviews seem to be good. The usual .22 semi auto quirks, ammo sensitive etc...
I'm gonna throw a Bushnell TRS-25 on it and give it to my stepson for his 14th birthday next month. I've heard it's accuracy is on par with the 10/22 as well. I think it's a good deal for under $400 OTD. There are people on here in the marketplace selling them used for that and more....
