Found out some additional information on ISSC's website, the official release date is listed as May 2010:

"Available in May, 2010, shooters will welcome ISSC's Modern Sporting Rifle MK22, the first rifle to incorporate military-style handling into a modern sporter that performs equally well on the range of the great outdoors.
Equipped with either a 22-shot or 10-shot magazine and folding or fixed stock, the MSR MK22 performs flawlessly with all types of 22LR ammunition and is accurate at both close-range and target-range distances.
The MSR MK22 can be aimed either with its integral folding sights or you can attach any kind of aiming device to the Picatinny rails that come standard on all sides of the barrel. "

This past weekend I fired a real SCAR. It is very comfortable to fire in .223 and ergonomically it is very good. The one thing I did not like is the forend. It is not comfortable and basically was designed for use with a vertical grip. Other than that I liked it and if this 22lr version handles like the .223 then it should be a very useful and fun gun to own.

Im going to throw an AFG on it instead of a vert grip.

The AFG feels great on a SCAR.

Im hoping its not! I have read many reviews saying the Colt is not much more than a paper weight because of all the problems it has. I am hoping they worked out a lot of those problems for the MSR MK22. I am not looking forward to buying mags for it no matter what though. I really really hope the production version accepts BDM mags!

Word on the street is the MSRP will be $600 for the rifle.

I am not too surprised since this is new model type of gun making for them.

maybe there might be a sale or introductory price for this.

It's a .22lr. It's already CA-legal.

The mag in the photos looks more like the S&W mag. We can only hope, though...

lots of images @ link
http://www.dtairsoft.com/wefumesclige.html
am expecting for the 22lr to @ least be built better than the licensed gas blow back airsoft rifles
machining appears to be fairly decent or similar to the real deal
have also read numerous opinions where op consider this to be the closest to an authentic f&n scar

Classic! I'm glad someone had enough time to put that picture together. The higher end ACR's stock (the one with the railed fore end) also looks like a storm trooper's boot...

No, I knew I couldn't be the only one that recognized the leg and boot.

WeekendWarrior: you are correct, after looking at the ACR, one of their various stocks does look like a storm troopers boot.

To get this thing back on topic a little more info from the ISSC web site.

I kinda like the look of the the "boot" stocks... looking forward to owning one and trying out that adjustable cheek rest.

I have my fingers corssed that the lower receiver will be made out of metal. It looks that way from the pictures above.

Alright, for all of you who cannot wait to get one of these, I emailed ISSC the other day about the release date (which is listed as May 2010 on their website) and got this response:

Quote:
I'll know ship dates when I come back from the NRA show which is in 2 weeks. I know it won't be May. we had a delay because one of our subcontractors delieverd lousy components and we had to wait for him to re-make them. But it should ne soon. Thanks.

no problem. I have been shooting my Sig 522 a lot laterly and all the while getting more and more excited about my MK22. I am a little worried about the quality of the parts coming from the subcontractor he mentioned...

Yeah I have no problem waiting if that means I get a higher quality rifle. This also gives me some time to figure out how I can fit it into my increasingly crowded safe.

OMG, I'm so excited! Now THAT is a .22 I would shoot. Although I would IMMEDIATELY start looking for a way to convert it back to .223.
