Riverside Indoor Shooting range recently opened for a soft opening, with their grand opening to be around 1-25. My son a and I shot there last week and it is a nice new place to shoot. They have a handgun, long gun up to .308 caliber and including shotgun and archery ranges. The staff is friendly and safety oriented.

There is Riverside Magnum nearby, but unless they have fixed their ventilation system, I wouldn't shoot there.

Here is the info for Riverside Shooting Range.

11631 Sterling Ave, Riverside, California 92503(951) 353-0001

Like retired stated, it is run by a good group of guys that are safety orientated.

I shot there for the first time about a week ago. I had to leave because I kept tasting burnt gunpowder. Nice range but they really need to fix their ventilation system.

i was at riverside magnum friday night and it was packed. despite the crowd, it was nice and cool inside and the gun powder smell wasn't too bad. I'm not a huge fan of AR's and shotguns being allowed there now though. it makes it super loud when trying to train someone new.

Rancho magnum was cool. Been there once when I first bought my handgun. Cool people. Planning on hitting up the next Calguns shoot as well. I am curious about the new indoor range in riverside.

Ditto, hear it's a nice place, already open. Grand opening coming soon. Must go check it out!

Riverside Indoor Shooting Range (RISR). A guy named Tom owns the place. He's also a gunsmith. Does work for Warrior One out of Riverside. Its a brand spanking new place off the 91 at Pierce. 20k sq. ft. You can see it off the freeway. Very cool peeps in there. Tom also offers different types of training. Check them out!

I probably should have been more specific when I referred to Riverside Magnum having a ventilation system problem Also, this was some years ago, so I would hope they have fixed it. It is a bit gross but:

After shooting, I went in to the bathroom to wash my hands. I decided to check something also and, using some toilet paper (yes, clean before the jokes) and cleaned inside my nose. The paper had a gray residue on it. I figured if that came out of my nose, how much made it into my lungs. That is the only indoor range I've experienced that and that is main reason I stopped going there.

Rancho Magnum is ok but the lighting and ventilation could be better. I am a fluffy guy so get overheated quickly.
Try not to use lane #1 (far right side) if you can help it. It's a pass through door so doesn't have a lower shelf to stow your range bag on. I kept getting hit with shrapnel for some reason the one time I used it.

Wife and I went to RISR today and the place was clean, ventilation was working and the workers are super nice and Rick (RO) was very helpful. Plus after practicing you can go across the street and have some food and drinks at Wicks Brewing Company.

I'm in Moreno Valley, so I hop over the hill to Beaumont indoor range. the range ammo is cheap and the guy and his wife are really friendly, and hte place is really newbie friendly as well.

during the week, though, i'll hit up Rancho Magnum or the Riverside Magnum Range after work, depending on where I am.

The new Riverside Indoor Shooting Range opened up this past weekend as well, and I stopped by today. Really, really nice facility and everyone there is really friendly as well. I stopped by later in the day, so I couldnt shoot (last shooters at 4pm, 2 hrs before closing), but I plan to stop by tomorrow after work and try 'em out.

I live a block from Rancho magnum, and I avoid that place. Sorry RM but the first time I went the staff was rude. The ventilation is crap, and they over priced. I wasn't impressed. For the price of one, I can take a friend @ Bass Pro .... They're facility is legit, and beside I just like walking around before our after a session... YMMV

I'm wondering how long riverside magnum stays open with the new range down the street. That said riverside magnum is my go to spot. The staff is awesome there and they recently re did the ventilation system!!!

I also live a couple blocks from rancho magnum and yes the ventilation is horrible. Often times it is hot too, but they are renovating, or I should say they have been in the process of renovation for quite some time.

Ditto on Beaumont Indoor Range, the owner Casey is very knowledgeable & helpful. Took the wife and daughters out for two of their first times, had a ball! They are very safety conscious and give Military discount.

as far as i can tell we are a bit out of luck for any indoor ranges. I'm in menifee and have not found one nearby. there are a couple of outdoor ranges that are private membership only.
