Default So here we are, talking about our favorite subject

Folks,

The guys who wanted to hi-jack the ladies forum have gotten what they wanted. They DID. And they got us to do the dirty work for them !

Most of the recent chat has been how to get men to behave decently in the women's forum. How dumb is that ? Why bother?

No offense to anyone, but I'm not posting anymore to our Women's Forum threads that have become all about men. Not me, no more.

I'll post to threads that are of actual interest to women, like how to do CCW in Sacramento in 106 degrees, or stranger meetups, or what's pink camo all about.

But I'm done with focusing exactly where the trolls want me to focus.

UPDATE: OK, I lost my temper.

i say ignore them. no response. they're trolls and should be ignored. if we want to discuss "things" and they butt in, ignore them. we know which ones are our true friends and which aren't.

Do we have a "TROLL" smiley? If not how do we get one? I have a really good one that says "Please don't feed the Trolls".

Men as "our" favorite topic?

Surely you jest.

I'm thinking guns, purses, shoes, cooking, babies ... What did I miss? Complaining? lol

My favorite topics, family, guns, collecting guitars, my crazy 3 puppies, purple martins (amazing birds), and whether I should buy an assault rifle or a tacticle shotgun.

As for the few men who have the desire to insult women at any given moment, I truly believe they were potty trained too early so we must go easy on them.

Not just pink camo but also zebra print and just plain pink will do too. I love all my zebra gun cases, pink mossy oak car floor mats, pink champion hearing protection, etc. Now all I need is a pink purse with rhinestoned guns on it... Saw a few in Texas should have got one.

I actually adore my husband and the time that I spend with him is one of my favorite subjects. He's also a very large reason why I enjoy going to the range to shoot. He has always been respectful when he has come into this forum.

Personally, I'm a leopard print (not pink) kind of girl. I love shoes, make soap, sometimes enjoy cooking, love brewing wine/beer, have two sweet mutts, love my Miata and want to learn to ride a motorcycle.

We just started, so we're still using malt extract and grain, rather than straight grain. He likes the dark beers. The local brew store actually has kits set up so you can copy some of the other breweries beers at home. It's very fun.

What we end up doing the most is a lemon wine. All of friends love it, so we end up giving a lot of it away.

Lemon wine? Like Lemoncello? Love that stuff! We use Mr. Beer and really like the dark beers also. We have an Octoberfest going right now.

This is actually closer to being a hard lemonade. It's lemon juice concentrate and a sugar invert syrup with yeast.

We've basically tweaked this recipe into something that works for us consistently: http://skeeterpee.com/?page_id=17

Look in the tea section - the long boxes of tea bags - On lipton tea it will say family size on the box. They are just larger tea bags.

Yeah, I make it with just regular Lipton bags since our store doesn't care the family size. 6 regular bags works just fine.

Want to try something yummy?

Do you know what an Arnold Palmer is ? It's half lemonade and half iced tea, for anyone who doesn't.

Well, there's a drink named a John Daly (He was a golfer with a drinking problem). It's Sweet Tea flavored vodka mixed with lemonade and its way too good.

New topic: How to choose a CCW gun. Help me! I need to get something on my Christmas list soon, and have no idea how to go about this, other than to rent some and see what works. What did you ladies do?

Ideas?

no chance in shell that this county will issue me a CCW so i've never investigated. i believe there is a forum here at calguns dedicated to the topic. and i think some of the recent threads ended up with suggestions here in the LF. and renting is never a bad idea!

I have mine and I have a couple of handguns on it. My XD9 and my Sig P239 9mm. Honestly, it depends on the day as to what I carry because my XD is a double stack mag and a bit wider and my Sig is a single stack and a bit slimmer so if I am bloated I carry the Sig, if my pants are looser on some days, I carry the XD. LMAO

OMG. I LOL'ed.

For me... Obviously guns... also scuba, archery, backpacking, shopping (only online... I hate malls), and cooking (but not babies though).

We should have a recipe thread. LOL.

This year I tried spearfishing and it's still up in the air whether I'm going to like it or not. I also public land bow hunt, but I have been unsuccessful. I recently joined Wilderness Unlimited for access to private ranches, so we'll see how that goes.

I hate malls and generally hate shopping(unless if's guns, ammo, bows, etc). We should have a recipe thread. I am desperately trying to get this weight off and I am on weight watchers(which was super successful for me back in 2002) and we have been eating a lot of fish but I am running out of creative ways to cook it. I usually bake it but need ideas.

Wow.........we are wired different for women. I hate shopping toO, unless it is for sports related items.

I love to cook when I am home and bored. I love to try new things. Let's do it.

Somebody please start the "Wired Different" thread here in the Women's Forum.

I'm getting enough rep as a rabble rouser....

I should add that I've "roused the rabble" very effectively for various civil rights and social causes since the 70's. I smile and blush when people say I'm a rabble rouser. To me, it's a term of endearment....

Now it's much worse, because I'm an armed rabble rouser !
