Talking Where to hunt?! *NEWBIE ALERT*

Hey guys, glad to be a new member of the club!

Just picked up a new Ruger 10/22 and was wondering where I can do some damage with it!

I live in Brentwood, CA and I always see small game and varmint that I'd love to practice my hunting skills on. Pretty much I'm just wondering if you guys know anywhere I can hunt small varmint that is close by. Or if you know any ranchers that are cool with us varmint hunters coming on down and hunting on their property.

Thanks guys and gals!

I'm in Oakley myself and been trying to find reasonably close places to get some rabbit or squirrel action. 5.45x39 and 5.56 AK74 builds that I'm itching to try on something other than paper.

Go to a range and get in some practice...sight it in first. Get good with it, then let's talk about hunting.

Too bad concord is not open for pistol/rifle currently. Like he said, get some range time and learn how to use that rifle safely and accurately before you shoot anything that breathes. I assume it's new?
