Which 2-Stage are you looking at? If you got some factory ammo (my 2.23/ 5.56 ammo is buried somewhere since i'm moving).. I got a LMT 2-stage you can try.

I'm out I've been waiting for someone to get DMS-1 scopes in, and Midway did today, so I had to order one so now I have no money to shoot.

Well - I guess I will bring the Marlin 1894 CS in .357.

How old are the girls?

I could bring some cat sneeze loads for the .357 if you want for them........

Haha well the "girls" are from 19 to 37 years old

Catsneezers are always good for the wimmen-folk though. All that big bad recoil bruises their tender skin

I love the 1894 in .357! Other than a .45-70 that is the only other levergun I would like to add to my collection!

I ain't wasting my daughters(5 yo) personal box of cat sneeze loads for girls in the 19-37 range though. I will bring it with some mild 158 xtp's and some heavy 180gr FP's. The 180's kick is snappy but not "harsh" - about 1800 fps.

I'm just kidding anyways. My wife handles a .308 just fine and one of the other girls is bringing the Mini-14 so a .357 load wouldn't bother them any. I just like teasing them about flinching.

Speaking of which I need to buy more ammo tonight, the 300 rounds I bought last week likely won't be enough to get through the day.

Cool - you and anyone else can shoot it - although it is sighted in at 200 yards.(Peep sight).

It is a fun little gun to shoot.

That Pala Range will be expensive to shoot at unless you go there w/ some frequency. Either you pay to become a member plus the daily range fee.. or you pay to participate in the match in which case you also have to be a member of the NRA. Just saying that as an official meet.. many may be deterred.

Hmm, so we either drive to A Place to Shoot or we hit angeles again. Maybe a desert shoot?

That's what I gather from the links that Jicko supplied in post #18 of this thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...t=64133&page=2

Not sure if there's a fee for the actual match.. but you do need to be a member of the NRA to participate. As for becoming a member for $45 and paying the $15 range fee.. only mondays and two fridays per month are available for practice. You can also go in as a guest for $20.. but I assume you have to be there with a member and I don't know if there's a limit to the number of guests. If you go the Match route in which you compete in the morning and stay to shoot until they close.. that's only on the 4th Sunday of the month. That's just from what I read.

I vote for a desert shoot.

Thats Dumb....It looks like a nice range but why do they make it so damn hard to shoot there? A desert shoot would be fun but if its that hot at Burro I cant imagine how hot it would be in the desert!

I'm sure it is a great range to join and shoot at if you're a member that lived close to there and had a very open schedule

I wouldn't worry about the heat as long as you've got cold drinks and some shade. Come on.. we're supposed to be Southern California Precision Rifle Shooters. As such, we should learn how to shoot at all temperatures and all distances. You'd be surprised how different it is to shoot at high temps.. and by that I'm not just talking about how you feel.. but ballistics!

Let me know if you guys want a desert shoot. Up here in the high desert (~3000 ft) its only in the low 90's and no humidity. And up here, your bullets fly flatter!

Definitely let me know when this tannerite shoot is going down. The fruit shoot was a big success! Melon skeet launching was by far my favorite!
