Default V22 Upper - Checking in

Hey -

Just checking in since I have this Upper that I am considering bring to CA with the whole set that I don't need to make it featureless since it's a .22LR CZ V22 uppers made by CZ.

However, If the receiver says CAL: 5.56mm. Would that still be a another problem I need to solve before moving in ?

Rimfire is exempt from the stupid AW laws for now. Toss it on a 5.56 lower, toss it on a dedicated lower.... same difference for now.

Those can be nice uppers, mine has been very accurate, wouldn’t want to give it up!

Have fun!

Got a question about about the barrel length. I was reading the CA Laws -
I know its been repeated but I want to be on the safe side.

Since the V22 upper is completely sealed. There is nothing else but full set on it.
Am I good to go and move into state with it ? Im seeing some few post that some people have it there.

or is it still consider SBR to you guys ?

Barrel measurement:

From Shortest Stock to barrel

You're measuring the barrel length from the wrong starting point. You started at the rear of the handguard but barrels lengths are always measured from the end of the chamber. Where the rim of the cartridge is seated when loaded. See photo below. If you measure from the right starting point you get 16½"
