Do you collect/reuse Folgers Coffee Tubs?

So I reuse the Folgers plastic containers for my reloading needs, i.e. brass sorted by caliber, by stage of processing, boolits, trimming supplies... I found that they actually designed some templates for them.... the blank templates are on the bottom.

I use Sour Punch Twists buckets that are left over for brass; does the trick.

I manged to score enough of the Costco sourdough pretzel containers to store spent brass in, but I have a few of thse Folgers containers lying around work and home, cause I can't bring myself to throw them out - they look too handy; just don't know in what capacity yet - LOL.

Thanks for the link, might be just what I needed to find a "use" for them.

They are getting smaller (shorter containers in the last few months, with a smaller amount of coffee). The one I got at Sam's Club was pretty big even compared to the old ones at the local supermarket. I have TONS of them, and used to keep notebook computer parts in them, but I use Folgers, Yuban, and Maxwell House. The Maxwell House used to have handles molded in, but not in the new smaller size.

I used to use plastic Ice Cream tubs, and (generic, local store) Circus Animal plastic, until I got too much brass for those flimsy containers...

Did I have enough Coffee for that weekend? Yup, sure did.

I usually use plastic Peanut Butter jars and similar containers for projectiles.


I have a shut-ton of labels from work that would otherwise be discarded and just stick them to the side of the bin after writing what I need to on them. I turned the labels away from the camera to hide my chicken-scratch.

I use the Folgers Coffee jugs for brass in calibers I don't shoot a ton of & the Almond containers from Costco for bulk bullet storage. For my 9/45/223 brass, I use 5 gallon buckets. I just print out labels on computer paper & slap them on with packing tape.

This is all brass that has been resized and deprimed. Waiting to be wet tumbled.

The new plastic folgers are my standard brass/ammo storage containers. They're strong enough. I use stick on labels to keep track.

I agree, 1 gallon at the smallest, mostly 5 gallon size needed for brass. Bullets stay in original packaging for me.

Folgers is too small. These started out holding peanut butter filled pretzels. Now they hold brass.

I do not use them anymore. I use the clear plastic shoe box containers I get at the 99cent type store. The stack better and I can see how much are in them. I store brass in different stages of prep, bullets and primers in them as well as my 204 cleaning patches,jags, etc. I have a 10 foot long 3 foot wide 5 shelve storage rack full of then with brass. Another cabnet 4"wideX3'deep and 7' tall with bullets and primers.
If I used the coffee jugs I would not be able to storge half as much in the given space. I also store unsorted brass in a 5 gal pail

Jelly bean tubs from Costco. Good to snack on while reloading. Sometimes I like to put them in the case feeder on then dillon so I can see the tube full of beans.

But seriously, yeah, costco jelly belly tubs.

I still use Folgers cans that are metal. Plenty of the plastic ones as well - and yes, they are getting smaller.

i go for the optimum nutrition gold standard whey protein container. use enough to have quite the surplus.

THat is how I came to use the folgers. WE had a lot of then sitting around and I was always trying to figure out what to use them for and since I have three large 18 gal bins for dirty sorted brass and a large bin for decapped/sorted brass, I figured that the folgers would work well and they do because I just keep sorting and cleaning brass enough to keep the cans filled and the rest stays put in the other larger bins... Yeah would be NICE if they were bigger but I only have a few casein/whey containers and I use them for other things like crushed eggshells and what not. I bet they would be good to hold 50 lbs of ss pins in though...

I use those clear shoe size tubs as well that I get from Target or walmart. The dollar store ones are to flimsy. Its perfect I can see whats in them and how much is in them as well. They also stack very nice and neat.

That's a good point. I'll have to bring it up the next time I talk to one of the Recycler Vegan Nazi Libs at work.

These are great ideas for storing reloading supplies. I'm going to start saving the containers instead of throwing them in the recycle bin.

i use the Costco Kirkland tin coffee cans, they can hold alot of brass cases.
