Default Plate carriers for small women?

Alright, ladies (and gentlemen) my wife wants her own plate carrier but I am worried a normal "small" with 10x12 plates are going to be too big for her. She is only 5'4'' and around 110lbs. Does anyone know of any smaller plate carriers that fit women better? I know they make 8x10 plates out there somewhere as I've seen them before. Any experience is helpful!

Any of the minimalist plate carrier should fit her fine.

The regular version is $90 but doesn't include the pouch for 3 mags.

Minimal Carriers

Plates

Swimmers cut works well. Their much lighter and covers vital organs. AR650 is lighter also.

8x10 should work, much lighter. Get full coat, its worth the extra 10oz. and price to catch the splatter

8x10 coverage
Weight: 8x10 Armaply AR650 Swimmers Cut: Base Coat 3lbs 11oz. Full Coat 4lbs 5oz.

10x12 coverage
10x12 Armaply AR650 Swimmers Cut: Base Coat 6lbs. Full Coat 6lbs 7oz.

Depending on the protection level, I would recommend a set of polyethylene plates. A set of level IIIA 10 x 12” soft panels is around 2.5 lb and level III is around 6 lbs a set.

Another gentleman posted here last fall asking about buying a plate carrier for his wife. His wife has a generous bust and he was looking for help with finding something to fit her. So, scoutsniper, also take into consideration your wife's bust size when trying to pick out plates and carriers. I'm a tall woman with a smaller bust; so, I just went with the regular men's set-up. I have 10x12 Level III hard plates. I doubt that would work for her size.

Here is the other thread. There may be some extra ideas in there for you: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1383889

Awesome, thank you bad. I did consider the lighter polymer plates for her too. Thanks!

I realize I'm dredging up an old thread, but I'm about her size and love my LBX0300 carrier (size S fits like XS) and Hesco makes some great 8x10 plates LVL IV plates that fit it

I have a set of Spartan swimmers cut carriers that fit pretty well. I’m 5’5” about 125 and those are perfect for me.
