Sponsored by a New Jersey democrat. Nothing to be concerned about. What part of "We have the Senate and the Presidency" don't they understand?

115th congress. It's in sub-committee, so it will be dead in January. Although likely to be re-introduced now that dems hold the House.

They won't need guns once the Democrats run everything. Itll be a wonderful utopia where unicorns run freely and everyone holds hands singing kumbaya. This will usher in world peace and doves will crap Hershey kisses.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-...5%22%5D%7D&r=1

And, since they introduced it in this Congress, the 115th, it's dead.

Doesn't mean it won't be introduced again next Congress.

Now that Ds will have the house I hope they go full retard and introduce a ton of anti gun legislation. That should help to once again galvanize and hopefully grow the ranks of the NRA membership to be ready for the 2020 election.

Sadly, Republicans will give up guns , as a right, over baby killing abortion rights, allowing illegals to take jobs (because they are hiring them), and Medicare recipients who feel they will loose their govt handout.
I hate to be pessimistic but I am a realist. I vote straight line Republican but a lot don’t for the reasons above.

They can rename it the "domestic firearms requirement act". That way it will ban cheap Chi-com AR parts from the country.

And in the typical politician manner, the bill goes way farther than the name suggests.

Name: 3D Firearms Prohibitions Act

Actual text: https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-.../7115/text?r=1

Anything from prohibition on blanks and parts to registration.

How do we know a liberal is lying? Right, his lips are moving.

"a semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm"

So this covers just about every semi automatic rifle that is popular today. Even Mini's had a F/A version.

Cant we just be left the hell alone. Over this nonstop "on the defensive" bull****.

I still don't understand how serial numbers protect any one. Further if someone has the ability to put serial number on something they must also have the ability to put the wrong one.

We ned some real stats on how often "tracing the gun" as dick wolf's shows like to say actually have any bearing on a real investigation.

I stocked up on milsurp Chinese AK and SKS parts and parts kits in the 80s and 90s before those permanent import bans.

Additional bans are certainly likely.

I am not convinced the Senate Republicans will unanimously vote against nation wide gun control. It's near top of the Democrats bucket list and a very emotional topic.

10 Republicans voted yea on the 1994 ban final amendment by D Feinstein.
A similar emotional time after the Stockton school AK killings and other mass shootings.

November 1993 Roll Call:

https://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...n=1&vote=00375

I listened to the roll call in my car. It was widely broadcast live because of the huge interest. . I could not believe so many Republicans would help vote it into law. Again, another emotional time.

The Democrats hold the house, even given the lunacy of Waters and her ilk, and the ranks of the NRA are static. Right now is when we should be seeing a bump, but it's not happening. Even on this very forum we get clowns refusing to join due to their inability to make a simple phone call and get removed from a mailing list. Some even voted FOR the Democrats.

It won’t pass the house where they have a micro-majority.

Even if it did, it sure as hell wouldn’t pass the senate.

If, in some alternate dimension, it did, Trump wouldn’t sign it.

If, in that same alternate dimension, he did, SCOTUS would take up that case or another & strike it down.
